One of my top 2 go-to spots for dinner in the East Village (the other being Casmir). I always go for: strip steak medium rare, béarnaise sauce, fries, escargot, cabernet. (ps: decent brunch too)
Kind of an under-the-radar pick, but the burger here is one of the best I've had in NYC. Also, if you don't order the Scotch Egg I'm going to come down and punch you in the face. It's delicious.

As the name suggests, the Earth Room is a room full of dirt. Rich, dark dirt, knee deep, housed in a 3600 square foot room in Soho, intriguing viewers for the past 30 years.

Any poached egg special of the day is going to be delicious. The one I tried with sauteed watercress and pancetta white bean puree on country toast was fantastic.
ZOMG the Dutch Pancake with pear. Get it to share with the table..and pair it with one of their awesome Bloody's.
The pancakes are better than Clinton Street. Seriously. They are fluffy and coated in blueberry maple syrup with fresh made cream on top. Thick-cut bacon strips on the side, too.
The pumpkin pancakes with fried chicken, honey, and hot sauce are absurdly delicious. Savory and sweet, two for the price of one.
