Incredible old New York vibe. A bit edgy and I love that. Tom the bartender is lovely and sings pretty songs upstairs sometimes. Oh and the Treehouse room upstairs is a great place for music.
A charming mix of old bar smell and new bar windows and sidewalk seating. Great people watching here and if you're the type, a bit of frosé in the warmer months.
Been here a bunch but once I took a first date here before seeing Sound Team and Cold War Kids at Mercury Lounge. That was 2006 and we are now married and have a daughter. It worked! Oh, have an IPA.

The music downstairs is pretty crappy, but go upstairs to the lounge area with a DJ & big windows & a view of projected images onto the building across the street.
This place seems much more enticing from the outside than once you enter it's surprisingly bland depths. Also, essentially every bar on this block has a buy one get one free happy hour.
