If you are flying Delta domestic, you could avoid some lines and check in at the international terminal. TSA lines are usually lighter there than the domestic checkin.
Be prepared to walk! And walk.. Plan to have an extra time for the long walk and transportation between terminals and gates. 1h is not enough for international flights. Run!!!
Wifi that is NOT free plus tethering the device equals some dumb nonsense. Step into the 21st century and offer free wifi like every other airport in the world please.
Get there at least 90 minutes before your flight. Ladies wear dark sunglasses and act like a DIVA. Gentlemen: wear a Yankee fitted cap and be a Prima Donna while going through security!
Unlike a mean-spirited coffeehouse or a Barnes and Nobles, Delta calls out where their power outlets are to help their customers. Very classy! Thanks Delta.
Flying to CSG? Prepare to be delayed. Many times. Sign up for one-time notifications to your mobile phone if you're flying with Delta, or at the very least check the flight boards religiously.
I may be biased but ATL is one of the most efficient, organizedairports. Some employees could use a little extra training - but airport itself is great. Glad I don't have to connect there though
COVID TIP: if your are flying international out of the T terminal all food and beverage is closed currently. If you need food stop in A or B terminals before you head to T.
Thank you to the USO for welcoming our soldiers home! And a very special thank you to all of our armed servicemen and women for your service to our country! God Bless you all!!
Get here at least 1.5 hrs before flight. Security line can easily snarl up Plus you have to take a train to most terminals. take a carry-on & print pass at home to skip long check ins.
Pay attention to who's sitting next to you on flights departing from ATL. I met my soon-to-be husband on a flight last October! You just never know who you'll sit next to!
While the airport lounges might be nice. If you need to kill time before a flight -hang in concourse E great shopping & good place to check out the attractive foreigners traveling through.
When going through security, don't pick the lane right beside the "wheelchair access" lane. They sneak their carry-on luggage before yours even though you've been waiting 10 min to scan your shoes
Do not take the train to Terminal A. Walk instead. There is a great exhibition of Zimbabwean Art underground. Best free deal in town. When I say great, I mean GREAT!!!!!
It's a busy airport, but the the airport is modernized and the amenities are boundless. If you have a delay there is a lot of good places to eat and hang out.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly bears the distinction of being the world’s busiest and most efficient airport and has served as a valuable hub connecting various cities and countries around the globe.
