Curtis HillerApril 4, 2015Follow signs to ground transportation for rental cars. Bit like LAX in that it's large and you can feel like you're in the wrong place easily.
Spend your layover eating at Paschal's and reading about the civil rights movement and Dr. King. This airport has done a great job of honoring Atlanta's greatest citizen.
Big. Plan at least 20 mins to get to another gate if connecting through here. If you are here longer, there are some great food options. My fav-Cafe intermezzo.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beside Gate A12. Iced vanilla latte. Seriously. Do it.

Suzanne Des MaraisApril 30, 2013The shuttle trains move super fast so make sure to hold on to something! There is nothing to hold onto if you're in the middle of the car and it's really crowded (which it often is).

Use the tram to get around the airport. It is the fastest and easiest way. I wish NY JFK had a tram.
Do not take walkway to B-F gates..it's a long one, always take train even though they show both (walkway and train as option)..well if u have time u cud take that stroll

Zac BoatrightAugust 30, 2012Enjoy the total disregard that @Delta has for passengers connecting through Atlanta. Wear running shoes... You'll need them. Especially when your connection is 3 terminals away and you have no time.

Yeah, that's right FourSquare, I haven't been back here in a while because this is my least favorite airport. Reminds me of that Spring Break trip to Tulane where I went blind (long story)

Take the time to enjoy the art between terminals. If you have time walk instead of taking the train.
Busiest airport in the world and they mean it. If you aren't pre check arrive early, but tons of good food options for the wait.
The trains are a nice touch. Security is pretty hassle-free. Very important to be on time. Lots of places to eat. Ground transportation is great.
Food network kitchen is excellent. The big peach ham and brie sandwich is awesome. Plus 10% military discount.

A lot do variety on options to eat and drink. Some good some not. Sky club is definitely good!
Make sure you give yourself time to make it through security and to take the train to your concourse. I've def missed SEVERAL planes here... It stays BUSY!!!!
Itzá Maturana LucoNovember 5, 2014Free WiFi everywhere and lots of power plugs for long scales (mine was 9 hours). There are always gates with no departures scheduled, so you can rest there.
As of May 2013, the back entrance for the airport's park and ride (from Riverdale Road) is closed. Signs suggest the construction is ongoing until 2014.. Yay!

Sara StraubMay 22, 2018Lots of places to choose from to eat while you wait and everything is well marked.- If you have time, walk between terminals. The walkway is really cool with lots of exhibits.
Don't forget it's the winter travel season. Expect the unexpected, flying is like driving. You have bad weather, and other issues..
Always crazy crowded, but well organized. Easy to move around and lots of place for dining.
Save money on parking by parking at airport hotels. They all have shuttle service and some are only $5 a day. Days Inn and Wellesley Inn offer this service.
Joel ReedMarch 21, 2015Airport is huge and too spread out. There is a Le Madeleine in the main terminal which is nice. Each terminal has a few eateries and shops.
Love the airport. Lots of good food choices especially in terminal D. Great airport! Avoid driving and take the Marta Train!
B FNovember 19, 2013This used to be a smoke free airport. Philip Morris lobbied to have the smoking rooms installed in lead up to the Atlanta Olympic Games. There's a pretty and informative historical timeline of Atlanta--1375 to present--on the walk between concourses B and C. Get smart and get exercise.

Clothing with spiked shoulders - Not only fashionable, but a great way to ensure nobody encroaches on your space on a crowded train...

HeidiAugust 12, 2013Best place to grab a quick dinner to go is Food to Order in terminal B. Their tomato, basil, mozzarella panini is pretty good.
Their airport chick fil e is crowded but good!! Moist big hearty spicy chicken deluxe, very fresh seeming
Pre-check is amazing no taking shoes off or taking computers out. It makes traveling a breeze. I travel almost daily and it's a stress reducer.
