Make sure you stand on the right when riding the escalators so people in a hurry can get by. Just like driving! Keep right except to pass!
Tram is easy to navigate. Bathrooms are usually clean and there is a north and south side
If stuck in ATL airport overnight, go to concourse E. Foot rests and room to lay down without arm rests getting in the way.
"Hard-working" employees taking up all the handicapped seats and talking negatively about airline guests right out in the open... Classy!
The walkway has great art pieces and sculptures; do take time to see them if you can.
Excellent airport in terms of transportation between terminals and selection of food!
If you can, walk to your terminal and check out the great Atlanta history exhibit! Exercise and education!
When going to baggage claim board the first compartment in the train.. U can get down and be the first one on the escalator so u can climb the stairs. This saves u 5 mins. A lot if u r frequent
The new International concourse is very nice. Now, if you can get the rest of the Airport up to that standard, you'd be doing something!
Sharon MorrowApril 11, 2017This place was a zoo after the storms. Had a line got rebooking that wrapped around the airport! It was hard to see where to go to get in TSA pre-check. Ask where that line is.
Phil BrownAugust 5, 2014If going to International from Domestic concourses, you'll do a lot better eating in Domestic side. Very few, and odd, choices on F. And a lot more pricey.
The later the flight the more likely it is to be delayed. Get in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson as early as you can!
One of the busiest airports in the world manages crowds with its staggered terminal layout. Take plenty of time to get from one gate to the other. TSA lines are managed well and never take too long.

Such a massive, busy airport. The train between the terminals is fast. It’s pretty easy to get around

Extremely crowded, and fast-paced, so make sure you know where you're going or you just might get run over (by the people-movers, if not the people themselves)

Chaotic airport with lots of lazy couldn’t care less airport staff. A bad thing when combined with the world’s busiest airport. Sigh.

As my pilot pointed out, Atlanta is connection capitol. Always people here, but the best all around food is in Terminal E. Something for everyone in one place.

Arrive early for check in and allow plenty of time to go thru TSA screening and then take the train to your concourse.
If you connect through here & have the time, consider waiting to eat until your layover. Of all the airports I've encountered in my two years of traveling, this has one of the best food courts. But: i

Passengers on Air Tran in from San Juan are sitting on airplane for over 40 minutes! No one can come to meet them cause lighting might hit them all other airlines don't have same problem!!!
My favorite airport literally in the world. Loads of places to shop and dine here. Waiting for a flight is NO chore!
Love the city rail that rolls in-and-out of here. Very convenient if staying in downtown.- Skip the plane train and walk between Concourse A and B to enjoy the jungle.

Emily NMay 13, 2013Nice and efficient. Got through the TSA area very quickly. Love the shuttle tram. Because they were so efficient , got to get home earlier.
Dress in layers you can peel off. This airport is hotter than any other I've been to. Feels like 80 degrees & more if you have to walk carrying bags. Consistently the case.
