- As of May 2013, the back entrance for the airport's park and ride (from Riverdale Road) is closed. Signs suggest the construction is ongoing until 2014.. Yay!
- If stuck in ATL airport overnight, go to concourse E. Foot rests and room to lay down without arm rests getting in the way.
- Rich GarberOctober 27, 2014Back on firm ground in the US after almost two weeks away. I won't kiss the ground but I may kiss the first high-speed internet modem I happen to see!
- If you are flying Delta domestic, you could avoid some lines and check in at the international terminal. TSA lines are usually lighter there than the domestic checkin.
- Jeremy HaggardOctober 11, 2011Café Intermezzo in Concourse B is a great place to slip away from the airport hubub, have a coffee or beer, and get some work done on your laptop!
- The new International concourse is very nice. Now, if you can get the rest of the Airport up to that standard, you'd be doing something!
- Marcia SkaettaJune 3, 2015The immigration folks were very simphatetic. 👍👍 Got even hints where to eat in Vegas since we're on a connection flight.
- Be prepared to walk! And walk.. Plan to have an extra time for the long walk and transportation between terminals and gates. 1h is not enough for international flights. Run!!!
- If you can, walk to your terminal and check out the great Atlanta history exhibit! Exercise and education!
- Michelle LAugust 12, 2014Nice airport but very busy! Make sure you have enough time! Especially with connecting flights, it can be a little difficult.
- SamsoniteMay 3, 2011Find yourself getting lost in concourse "E"? Don't worry, you're not alone! "E" is the largest international concourse in the US, with a capacity to handle up to 8,000 arriving passengers per hour.
- Excellent airport in terms of transportation between terminals and selection of food!
- Em AvisJanuary 16, 2014Immigration and security WILL royally f**k up your connection times, for the sake of your sanity, give yourself at least 3 hours :)
- The walkway has great art pieces and sculptures; do take time to see them if you can.
- @NickHolroyd: "We are now boarding crying children and assholes with comfort pets, everyone else please crowd around the gate and cough."
- Dan DeLucaJanuary 5, 2014Better make sure you have plenty of time for layovers because this place is huge - you will have to Home-Alone it if you don't plan ahead!
- One of the last airports in the US with indoor smoking sections so you don't have to go in/out of security.
- B FNovember 19, 2013This used to be a smoke free airport. Philip Morris lobbied to have the smoking rooms installed in lead up to the Atlanta Olympic Games. The rooms don't address the health hazards of secondhand smoke.
- Scott WalshJune 30, 2016Remember 1-877eziTAXI , welcome to ATL, we're the good guys. Be careful out there............the only thing worse than being stranded at the airport is being stranded in someone's backseat and paying.
- Andrew CSeptember 19, 2017Place is massive, kinda far walk from end of terminal to tram... great design and smooth layout tho!!!
- Kim MogilevskyOctober 15, 2013The burgers at Boardwalk Burgers in Terminal A center area are fantastic! I recommend the Blue Bacon burger!
- When going to baggage claim board the first compartment in the train.. U can get down and be the first one on the escalator so u can climb the stairs. This saves u 5 mins. A lot if u r frequent
- Stacie CApril 5, 2013Biggest and coolest airport I've ever been in. Definitely enough to keep u busy on a layover
- The later the flight the more likely it is to be delayed. Get in and out of Hartsfield-Jackson as early as you can!
- My favorite airport literally in the world. Loads of places to shop and dine here. Waiting for a flight is NO chore!
- Arrive early for check in and allow plenty of time to go thru TSA screening and then take the train to your concourse.
- Free wi-fi. Huge airport, with a free shuttle from the domestic terminal to the international terminal and vice versa.
- I may be biased but ATL is one of the most efficient, organized airports. Some employees could use a little extra training - but airport itself is great. Glad I don't have to connect there though
- Michelle BuiceJanuary 24, 2018Love this airport. Most workers are helpful. I love the service train, got me around faster.
- If you connect through here & have the time, consider waiting to eat until your layover. Of all the airports I've encountered in my two years of traveling, this has one of the best food courts. But: i
- If the control tower forgets your plane is arriving on-time, be patient, they'll eventually get the Jet Bridge over to your plane LOL
- As my pilot pointed out, Atlanta is connection capitol. Always people here, but the best all around food is in Terminal E. Something for everyone in one place.
- Yeah, that's right FourSquare, I haven't been back here in a while because this is my least favorite airport. Reminds me of that Spring Break trip to Tulane where I went blind (long story)
- If you get to the bottom of the escalator and the next train is more than 20 seconds away, and you only have to go to the next terminal over, just walk on the people movers. Otherwise, use the train.
- Emily NMay 13, 2013Nice and efficient. Got through the TSA area very quickly. Love the shuttle tram. Because they were so efficient , got to get home earlier.
- Love the city rail that rolls in-and-out of here. Very convenient if staying in downtown.
- Rebecca RogersSeptember 25, 2010Have to wait & it's not crowded? Push 2 rows of bench seats next to a stationary row & get your nap on. But when the gate gets crowded-let other folks have a seat! You, your feet, & bag only need one!
- LOVE Phillips Seafood. Tasty salmon and I’ve never had to wait.
- Good connection between terminals and concourses, great variety of restaurants and retail stores.
- Chaotic airport with lots of lazy couldn’t care less airport staff. A bad thing when combined with the world’s busiest airport. Sigh.
- When you travel, sometimes you make purchases that seem otherwise illogical. Like pay $5 for a sliced apple & side of caramel.
- Service Metrics GroupFebruary 17, 2013Register for Trak-a-Line on the airport's website and you'll receive an alert right away whenever there are changes to the wait times at the security checkpoint lines. Read more
- Phil BrownAugust 5, 2014If going to International from Domestic concourses, you'll do a lot better eating in Domestic side. Very few, and odd, choices on F. And a lot more pricey.
- LeoSeptember 8, 2014Best airport! You can get lost, but there are a lot of food options here! Go to a Friday's!
- Skip the plane train and walk between Concourse A and B to enjoy the jungle.
