DreMay 18, 2011If u have to sleep overnight inside the terminals... Go with terminal B. Smokers lounge is always open , fresh coffee by 5am, sleeping kiosk opens at 530 and the terminal is quiet overnight
Security here can take five minutes or an hour depending on the time of your flight. Try to book in the early morning or late evening to avoid the rush.
Get through TSA, and get a drink and relax. If you don't have or get it.

I was about 30 people behind a middle eastern guy with sunglasses in the immigration line. He was still there when I cruised through.. just an observation
A refillable fountain drink at ATL? Unheard of right? No, scuttle down to ATL Bread on Concourse C and wah lah. Sweet tea, soda, light lemonade and more! For here and to go.

It seems like they revamped TSA because they were extremely polite & helpful this trip. They should eliminate the traffic cops because they make things more complicated & congested.

Low Country New Southern Cuisine in the A Terminal had wonderful sausage gravy and biscuits.

Kate MatovinaJuly 12, 2013Really crowded but airport layout is easy to maneuver through. Charley's Subs has some good sandwiches that are good for on the go in between flights.
Don't dilly dally if your connecting. Check the monitors and head straight to your gate. Connections are always tight when you factor in the walk/shuttle to get to the gate.

If you're an out-of-towner not familiar with @ChickfilA, change your life by consuming a #1 with sweet tea. You might as well, because in the ATL delayed flights are mandatory.
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS have at least 1hr between your connections if you have a layover at this airport...I'm just saying!!!
If you have time, head over to terminal E or F for the best eating and drinking options.

Stay in the US citizen immigration line even if the Visitors line looks shorter. It takes longer because of translators and the biometric stuff.
For those flying Delta and are looking for healthy food options, Corner Bakery and Jamba Juice are located by T3
Concourse C has a great XPress Spa, a Proactiv vending machine, and the Last Call bar (best bloody marys at ATL Airport!)
If you're near terminal C use that Delta Club. Always less crowded and the bartenders are awesome!
Bree McGuireJuly 24, 2014The Food Network Kitchen in concourse D has really good sandwiches and salads. And juices!- In the main security line, stay all the way to the right for your best odds of avoiding the backscatter. If that fails, use the magic words "opt out".

Leave yourself plenty of time between far concourse connections. Main security checkpoint is always faster than the South checkpoint, regardless of Medallion status.

Doug PoedtkeSeptember 25, 2014One runway closed for 3 months yet not one flight from any airline has been changed. No flight coming in or leaving ATL will be on time so don't connect through ATL unless you have more than 90 mins
