Troops, if you have a valid CAC card and have a clean background (ie. No Article 15s or Courts Martials), you can use TSA Pre-check at Main and North checkpoints. Very fast Pre-check line!

Plenty of good choices here - all depends on which terminal you land in - where you are leaving from and how much time you have !!!

If you have time, try walking the tunnel between terminals rather than using the subway. There's frequently great art exhibits to view.

Best large airport in the country. Clean, friendly staff, TSA moves lightening fast and plenty of great places to eat. As big as the airport is it's very easy to get around. No complaints!

This is my favorite airport! It's smoker friendly and has smoke rooms in all concourses except D. Concourse C is being remodeled so it's hard to get around and all torn up.

If you're planning on parking here for an extended period of time during the busy holidays, be aware that economy parking can (and will) fill up - forcing you to pay ~$20 per day for regular parking.

I always walk to the concourse to enjoy the art. The African stone sculptures are tremendous. Park and ride is affordable and convenient. $9/ day.

If you arrive by charter bus, take advantage of the lower level ticketing, especially for Delta. It can alleviate the pressure of waiting at the large Delta ticketing counters, which can get busy.

Start your day with a jamba juice in the t concourse. They don't open until 7am though so you might have to settle for some steel cut oats from the corner bakery if your flight leaves too early.

I drop my son off each day it tends to be a headache do to all the construction going on that causes a little more congestion than usual. So come with patiences when dropping off and picking up.

For as busy as this place is, things move smoothly. I was surprised they only had one scanner going at the south TSA, but it moved. The trains are great once you get used to them.

Similar to other tips, get here early. If flying early (5:30am) out of Terminal C, there is nothing open to get coffee or a snack. Have the joe at home or the hotel before coming. Safe travels!

I’m hoping it’s an off day at ATL because I’ve never seen gate agents and TSA so cranky. Even TSA pre check required shoe removal. Looking at a lot of travelers, I would probably be cranky too 😂

When TSA says get here 3-5 hours in advance, you better bet your hiney you need at least 3. It IS the busiest airport in the world. Keep that in mind. But overall, it's fairly organized!
