Security lines can be *super* long here when the airport is quiet, because of all of the Clear lanes — leave an extra 15 minutes to be safe.
A comfortable airport with good facilities, restaurants, and bars/breweries.
After dealing with DFW Airport for a decade I really appreciate the simplistic design of Seatac. Only one simple terminal! While the after check in area still have the feel of a large airport.
For views of The Space Needle, pick window seats on the right side of the plane if you're flying in from the south.
When moving from S-gates to B-gates, for B1 and B3 only it's quicker to walk from the A-gates stop on the train.

What you eat at Microsoft stays with ... TSA. Enjoy the chilli and the gingerale. Those are definitely dangerous items ... for my health. Have at it.
Hey if you are here... you are not at home.. not yet at least. Stop and get the mac and cheese at Beechers in C2 gates.
The Clear TSA Pre-check line is ridiculous. Likely quicker to use the regular pre-check line.
Trebla OsubaMay 29, 2023I wish they have departure/arrival boards at the check-point exit. My boarding pass for some reason didn’t have a gate #. I had to walk a long ways to find one.

Ladies - whenever I bother to dress cute and put on makeup the security guys usher me to the VIP security check point and I don't have to stand in line. Try it!
Jane StraussJune 4, 2013If you are flying out of SEA on the same day that cruise ships are changing over and you don't have TSA pre check or Priority Access from an airline, add at least 60 minutes for the TSA line alone.
Flight delayed? Get a mani, pedi or massage at butter (near gate 7) or get some polish in one of their great colors.

Pray for nice weather and a window seat on the plane to get an awesome view of Mt Rainier.

Get here at least 3 hrs before Intl dep time to ensure that there's time for emmigration/customs, security, and a coffee before boarding time!
Really fine airport facility. Security experience is much improved over the past. The dining and shopping choices are superior, compared to most airports. New rent car facility is too remote, tho.
Make use of the cell phone waiting lot so you don't get driven away by the traffic police.

Daniel BlakeJanuary 17, 2017Please on something as important as a plane trip... give yourself ample time to get there and get situated.. an hour.. sometimes 2 hrs is NOT enough...- Gate C area is completely different feel compare to Gate N. Don't forget to check out the eatery with huge outdoor view.
Michael RomoSeptember 26, 2010If the food choices don't rock your boat at the terminal you fly into take the train to the Central Terminal for better food! Anthony's has seafood, beer, drinks and comfortable seating!
There are plenty of other coffee shops besides Starbucks. With much shorter lines. Venture out!
