- Go thru checkpoint 3 or 5 when the k9 dogs are in use.. speedier screening
- David HackettJanuary 27, 2015There's no place like your home airport. I enjoy the mall shops, the train to N and S gates, and the friendly check-in clerks and TSA people.
- When taking a dog through security all you'll need to do is take it out of the carrier, carry it through the screener, and they'll swab your hands for residue.
- Luz GRSeptember 26, 2017This is a cute airport, it has several restaurants and stores for you to have fun while you wait for your plane
- Christine HongNovember 24, 2014The live musician in the beautiful, airy food court is a nice plus. Grab a coffee and enjoy between flights.
- If you're in a hurry get off the shuttle one stop early, like at Southwest for Delta. Inside the terminal distances are shorter, you save almost 10 minutes
- Clear is the way to go in the future TSA is getting to crowded and people never learn to get set for their luggage !!!!
- Jennifer SteinerSeptember 12, 2018Look for security line being monitored by the dogs. You get to keep your shoes on and the line goes really fast!
- Lovely clean and quiet-ish (Gate N) airport... I enjoyed that. 😁
- Good luck finding a good burger anywhere! There's one McDonalds hidden by United, an over priced Greedy Cow in S gates, Burger King at N, and maybe 2 out of the 7 bar/sit down restaurants that do.
- Joseph ZieglerFebruary 22, 2014This airport is pretty busy and you'll be lucky if you don't have to wait in line. Even at 5am there is a long line, so get there 2 hours before the flight as suggested.
- Eric SabbanApril 8, 2017Planes fly out of here. Beware of the traffic. Plan ahead if you're getting there by car. Not sure what the deal is for trains, but it can be a standstill at times.
- Security can be a bit long but still a good airport. Easy to navigate and staff is friendly and helpful
- NabeelJuly 8, 2011There's nobody at the JetBlue counter from 530p-745p. If you're on a redeye to JFK and come super early, try bag dropoff at 530p, even though check-in is 4 hrs max prior. Or just cruise the free wifi!
- Great American Bagel has great Bagel sandwiches. Get it to go and bring it out into nice big central food court area.
- Sub Pop Records, Beecher's Cheese, Caffe Vita, and Ivar's are among the local NW shops featured here. Skip Chili's and check them out.
- Check the food court area. It's just like being in a brand new high school and you don't know anybody; you're just searching for an empty spot. Make a friend if you got the time.
- All concourses/satellites are connected post-security, so if one checkpoint is busy, there are 2 (sometimes 3) others you can go through.
- Jordan WhiteAugust 13, 2014Gone through a nice remodel. Live music throughout the terminal. Good restaurants and shops. Getting through security has improved greatly.
- For the love of god, have your airline ticket and photo identification in-hand when you approach the TSA person. Use that time you spend in line to get ready -- you can read that email afterwards.
- In the mood for fish tacos?Anthony's fish bar in the central food court have the best Mahi Mahi grill fish tacos :-D For clam chowder, Ivar's has the best.
- Check out the new Dilettante Mocha Cafe at the N Gates. Get a Mocha with your choice of real melted chocolate. Better than Starbucks!
- Brian IbarraMay 4, 2016You can have TNC/Rideshare like Uber or Lyft pick you up in a designated section if he parking lot next to taxis or take the train all way downtown for cheap
- The Priority Pass lounge is a long hike at the end of A wing - if your gate is anywhere other than A, you’ll need to budget plenty of time to visit.
- Anthonys Seafood is the best place to sit down and watch airplanes take off/land. Decent food for the airport; best quality, selection and view. Cheers !
- Double drinks @ Anthony’s before your flight! Always great service!
- Marco LackovicNovember 17, 2011The cheapest way to get downtown is the Light Rail, only 2-3$. The Downtown Airporter will take you to your hotel and pick you up on your departure date for a bit more than 50$
- Flew United, and thought the terminal was well maintained. Security was efficient. Also love the Link service to downtown for $3.
- Nice and simple international airport. Security can get busy but it is ran efficiently and is quick.
- Gordon HughesJune 19, 2017For Delta Crown Club members skip the restaurants and enjoy dinner in the remodeled club. Food is catered in from the better airport eateries.
- Seattle Airport has musicians playing, and a children’s playground. So civilized.
- There are shelves at eye level above the urinals. One in ten passengers will bang their head into them before or after relieving themselves. Don't be one of them.
- Invest in TSA Pre ✅ for $85. You'll speed through the security line in 5 minutes, get to leave your shoes on and your laptop in your bag
- TSA Pre lines can get really long, normal security lines sometimes reach an hour wait. Go in advance. For healthy food options the new salad place is pretty good.
- Joanna BurtonJune 29, 2014Take the light rail from Central Seattle all the way to the airport for the most efficient and eco way to travel and for just $2.75
- SheilaOctober 19, 2019California airports need to take lessons on traffic and people moving from Sea-Tac, even in the rain we stayed undercover from plane to bus to terminal to shuttle services!
- Try the new Lucky Louie in the food court. The teriyaki salmon is well presented and delicious.
- If you rent a car at SeaTac plan for an extra 30+ minutes because the rental car facility has now been moved offsite and a shuttle bus will transport you to and from the terminals, similar to LAX.
- If want coffee at S gates, be prepared to wait in line -- only one coffee place (Seattle's Best). The line this AM was more than 30 heads deep.
- Quiet, clean, and those little fish in the floor are so cute. Keep your eye out for the one with the suitcase ;)
- Seattle has such friendly people. Free wifi at the airport. If it's your luck day, you might get in the TSA Pre✔ line.
- Resist the urge to buy a seafood sandwich to enjoy on your departing flight. No one appreciates the sweet scent of fish in confined spaces.
- huilineJuly 21, 2017Flying AIr Canada going to Toronto? Then you end at the furthest gate where the food and snack options are poor. They don't even have a gate number sign for my flight. Good job Air Canada!
- When making your way from the C or D terminals to the S terminal don't follow signs to walk through A terminal for shuttle tram to S, cut through B terminal to tram. It's much faster and less crowded.
- Waji's has great sushi case to go in C concourse, also has veggie snacks , salads & edamame for alternatives to the usual fare.
- Get the TSA Pre check card, cost a little, and takes a couple if months to get but so worth it to zip past everybody on busy days!
- The caeser salad with grilled salmon at Anthony's is a delicious, healthy, local good option here. Yum!
- DoubleTree by Hilton ManagerSeptember 22, 2011Mom was right: Use a packing list. Remember to pack all the essentials and don’t forget the most common left-behind items, chargers and toothbrushes! For travel tips, follow @DoubleTree on Twitter!
- Stop bitching about pat-downs & body-scans. In some countries, they make you open all your luggage (checked & carry-on) and search every pocket (yes Angola I'm talking to you). Thanks to nations with
- Awesome food to take on flights. Copper river salmon salads, Dungeness crab brekkie sandwiches, and many more Seattle favs
