It's about a $16 -$20 cab ride to Center strip. Someone offers you "free" tickets to a show in your hotel don't trust them it's a way to rope you into buying a time share!

Nothing like flying in to Vegas on a Friday. Everyone is a player, everyone is a high roller. Monday morning flights there are no more players and the high rollers are gone. Be smart and be careful.

Beautiful airport. The staff is courteous. Plenty of outlets to stay charged up as well (absolutely necessary for a social media junkie)

Bring something to keep yourself busy while you wait an eternity for your baggage and then a second eternity while waiting in the taxi line.

Huge airport. If you are in terminal 3 you need to take the train to the baggage claim area then a taxi.

The $8.50 shuttle to hotel seems like a good deal until you realize they wait before they’re filled, it’s per person, and Uber is in the $11 range.

Lets talk about Terminal C. Whoever decided 70% of the available walking space should be filled with slot machines deserves a punch in the face.

Facilities are great and layout makes navigation easy. But an airport full of tourists that often don't fly much brings it's own frustrations in security lines and at gates.

Baggage check upon entry with Southwest is easy with your mobile boarding pass. I dined at Villa Pizza after a recommendation but for a stromboli and mac n cheese both decent at best, too overpriced.

There's a long line before you get to the x-ray machines. Please use that time to empty your pockets and put your cellphone etc into your carry on bag. Or be one of "those people" who suck at life.

If you have a mobile boarding pass and no luggage to check, go through Terminal 3 EVEN IF you’re American or Delta. The security lines are shorter and the train is faster to D gates.

Eat @ Villa Pizza. The #2 is a deep-dish piece of pizza, any side (baked ziti is delish), and a medium drink for less than $10. A double cheeseburger meal @ wendys costs more but is not near as tasty

Sure you might fall into Vegas' hedonistic cycle of false hopes and unrealistic dreams that grow exponentially as you drop your valuable cash. But hey, at least you'll have Free Wi-Fi at the airport.

Airports need to realize that today's travelers need places to sit near electrical plugs. It's absurd that people have to sit on the floor in the walkways so they can charge their phones and laptops.
