Everything closes after the security checkpoint at 11 PM. Except for $3 vending machines at Gate C. Oh and the stupid slot machines and Best Buy vending machines.

If you have a flight at a D Gate check in at terminal 3 and take the tram the lines seem to be shorter than in terminal 1
The shirt with the words "bitch" and "kill" is probably not the best style choice for getting through TSA hassle free
Flying out on "B" pier? Thinking of getting something to eat? Stop at one of the other piers before heading over to your gate on "B"... nothing worthwhile having on "B" pier except a lot of junk food.

Courtney KApril 10, 2012If you need a charging/work station - don't get on the moving walkways on your way to A gates--there's a handful of seats with outlets halfway down the hallway.
Got here early, no one to check me in, used self-check-in, got to choose my seat and cruised right through the checkpoint.

Use the Executive Las Vegas shuttle to get in and out of the Strip. Only $6 each way. Great deal!
American Airlines terminal has a Rachel's Kitchen based out of Vegas and is delish!
The just opened a pei wei in the C gate. The line is long....but worth the wait.

If you need money, you're at the right place. They're giving it away for free in this city!
There is a Jersey Mike's here. It's the freshest food you'll find within the terminal
TSA pre-check. Fast! Earn your way to acquire it. Gambling. I always win a few bucks here. Weird
If you're flying Southwest, arriving here is a breeze. Avoid morning departure flights on any given day and be sure to arrive 3 hours early if your airline is departing at Terminal 1.
RedRockPacoJuly 9, 2012When flying in and out of McCarran you want to be on airlines that DON'T dock at the D gates. Basically you want to fly usair, southwest or spirit. However the new T3 might change that. We shall see.
Slot machines are very annoying. But plenty of great places to eat. Probably the best is Pei Wei at gate C19.

They have a tasty coffee bean & tea leaf here, but beware, they don't accept coffee bean gift cards. :-(
Rental car situation is nightmarish. Nothing onsite. Shuttles take up to 30 minutes+ and the actual lot is nowhere near the airport. It took just shy of 1 hour to drop off car and get to security.
Try the planes! They are a must and I get one EVERYTIME!
Lindsey AllenJune 21, 2017This airport was absurdly over priced (even more so then most airports). It was HOT and the smell of cigarettes and jet fuel made me nauseous. Despised my 2.5 hour layover.
If it's costing you more than $15 to go to the Strip during a busy time of day, you're paying too much.
