No need to hit the slots as soon as you arrive, but it is pretty cool to be slammed with the Vegas experience right out of the gate. Glad Newark Airport doesn't do that.
Offsite rental car facility is practically in another state. Make sure you leave at least 30 mins to to take the shuttle and get your car after you land and get your bags.
Not sure if there is another airport in the world that you can be greeted by the sweet sound of spinning slot machines the moment you walk off the plane. Just don’t spend all your money in one place.
If you need a drink, stop by the liquor store by baggage claim. They often have free samples. But something small, tip well, THEN ask about the sample.

So apparently you can bring a purse but if you bring a carry on luggage bag its 100 more per person guess that's why they changed to the more marketable name of spirit, used to be prison rape air.
Huge and spread out., Make sure you leave plenty of time to check-in and TSA screening. We arrived about 1:45 before flight time and just arrived at our gate as boarding began.
If you're parking at the airport, whether it be long term, short term, or economy, don't forget to write down you're floor and don't forget your ticket! You need it to pay on your way out! :)
Be aware of who you ride with. Though the ride share services seem to be a good deal, the drivers are not vetted. Getting into an Uber car is like hitchhiking along the freeway, the driver -a mystery.
The friendlier u r with the TSA staff and the better attitude u have about the whole process, the better the experience. U can certainly make things easier by arriving early.
Get here at least 2 hours before your flight. Vegas is a very busy airport and there are lines. They do their best to get you through quickly, but give yourself time.
Don’t rent a car at the airport! They have a very inefficient system. There’s only one bus that takes you to the rental car areas and only 16 at a time! Wait can be as long as 30-45 minutes!!
You can walk from Terminal 1 (A & B) to Terminal 3 (D & E Gates). Just take the tram in the C Gates security, but don't exit. The Terminal 3 tram is right next to the Terminal 2 (C Gates) end station.
There's a Starbucks in the Baggage Claim area, and it's never crowded. That's for both terminals, don't go to the ones in the gate areas if you're on your way out.
Be sure to be in time at The airport...long line-up luggage drop...long line security check and then monorail to (D) gate...might even take 1 1/2 hrs from entering to gate !!
Take the citybus to the strip instead of a cab. You'll find it at zero level and there is pleanty of room for bags. Take the weatcliff express. Foray stop is mgm 2nd is nyny. Only $2 each!
If you're not in a rush the RTC bus company takes you to the strip from the airport for 2$! Other transits charge 9$, and taxi's charge 15$ if they don't take the 'scenic route'
TSA to Gates A & B shut down to 4:00am. Access those gates at the C/D TSA. All terminal gates are connected. Longer walk, but better than running late!
If your staying overnight and you wish to sleep soundly withput any passerbys disturbing you. Go to D18 at night its deserted PLUS its near restrooms! Hurrah!
I know when you come to vegas you are here to stay but with me I connect from southwest to delta...well the door between gate C and Gates D is closed thebonly way to get through is TSA...
