- Heinie Brian HartendorpJuly 27, 2018It's been 8 years since I last visited this airport and it still amazes me. It keeps up (a bit) to the Dubai airport :-) 10/10
- Carmel McGillDecember 7, 2013If you are choosing an airport lounge opt for club at LAS lounge opposite gate E2 free hot lunch/drinks all complimentary / showers vs united lounge at gate D free vinegar wine & cheese biscuits
- Jackie C.December 30, 2013Rather than taking a cab, take SuperShuttle! I paid $8 from The Flamingo to the airportn one-way! A cab should only be $20 max (with tip) and make sure they don't take the freeway. Enjoy Vegas :)
- Free wifi with a decent connection. And for the frequent flyers and travel hackers, there are also a few different lounges here to experience. (Centurion, Lounge Club, etc.)
- Amazing people watching and it's only 10 minutes from the strip.
- If you're flying out of JetBlue's terminal three, it's much less crowded than the main terminal so you don't need to get here as early. Plus if you have TSApre you'll be through in less than 5 mins.
- TengisOctober 30, 2014McCarran offers you that last chance to hit it big with a life changing win! How? By placing slot machines quite conveniently throughout departure hall.
- Tons of slot machines if you enjoy that, which means they have tons of power running through the facility but hardly no power available for you to charge your stuff.
- Stealth MooseMarch 28, 2018Use Uber / Lyft from Terminal 1, rather than have the hassle of ‘no tunnel’ with one of the regular cabs. Follow the Rideshare signs to Level 2M, in the parking garage - opposite the terminal building
- Mena MigallyJanuary 17, 2015Nice airport with well spread-out shops, cafes and restaurants. I liked the terminal with D Gates (tram ride) better than the one with the E gates
- Claudia MittJune 26, 2016This Las Vegas airport is huge! NY are not bigger, London is like. Very organized here. All very far!
- My home away from home. Curb side check in is quickest and easiest if being dropped off. On the inside grab the c gates from the upper level for shorter lines.
- If you fly into a D Gate and don't check luggage, take the Terminal 3 tram to baggage claim and walk straight out door 54 to beat the rest of your flight to the inevitably long cab line :)
- You should stay at the Elara Hilton hotel. It's attached to Miracle Shops, which is right on the Las Vegas strip! I stayed there for over 2 weeks & loved it!
- Men's Health MagAugust 3, 2014Here’s your last chance to win big. The airport’s new terminal 3 is complete with 1.9 million square feet—many of which are dedicated to slot machines Read more
- Relatively clean and easy to get around. Quite a bit of shopping and food options. Only downside is the cost for taxis to/from the Strip
- If your flight is delayed get a manicure, pedicure or massage at the Express Spa near gate E3, terminal 3. Great service!!
- Kenneth McKlinskiJanuary 12, 2022Iced Blend Mocha from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is mighty refreshing after a long flight.
- Taking a cab is the best mode of transportation. I took the advice of someone in the airport not to take the freeway and it still cost me $30 to get to the Wynn plus I sat in traffic for over 20 min.
- Angela LansburyMarch 26, 2014A high stakes flyer bet the farm and lost when he wound up DOA in the Delta lounge! I solved this Sin City slaying when I fingered his killer, a down-on-her luck showgirl who got a raw deal.
- Chris H.September 7, 2014Get your last (or first) minute gamble on. Variety of quick service food options, but if you see something you like, stop. There are limited full service options. Southwest check in can get backed up
- RTWgirl ArnetteAugust 23, 2013The airport has improved drastically since I've been last. Line ups for check in & security are shorter. Free wifi and charging stations. Food options are still the pits though
- Hope Foster-ReyesOctober 18, 2013When taking a taxi, Check Google Maps for the shortest route and let your driver know. They're required to follow your direction, and you can save as much as $10 on fare.
- When arriving, if taking a cab, always tell the cabbie NOT to take the freeway. You will save your first $20 of your trip. If that $20 is a winner, you can thank me later.
- If waiting for a friend to pick you up in a cab, and her cab driver suggests to wait at The Front of the cab line, ignore the advice. The McCarran cops yell at you to move, but Jim S. might save you!
- Andrea BJune 28, 2013If flying in/out at night, be sure to keep an eye out for the strip when you're in the air. The view is breathtaking. If only we were allowed to use cameras that close to the ground.
- Really cool airport with a lot machines and such. Some good small eateries as well. I like this place
- Curbside check in is managed by an outside company. If your bags get lost, it's on you (airline can't/won't help). Tip well to ensure your bags make it home. Amazing how many people don't tip!
- David ChitanavaMay 4, 2019It feels from the entrance that you are in Vegas. Slot machines are everywhere and attracting passengers with flashing lights.
- Cabs in August were averaging $25 southern end of the strip, $35+ to the strip near Encore and $58-65 downtown hotels. These were averages and went higher if there was an event at T Mobile Arena.
- Melinda RamirezMay 24, 2015Always clean and courteous. Just don't fly Spirit Air and you will be fine. I can arrange your travel anywhere or your trip back to Las Vegas!!! Read more
- All rental cars are located off property. Take the shuttle bus to the site and all of the different companies are located together. It's super convenient.
- If you're interested in what's going on with Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh's Downtown Project, go on one of their free tours. They're doing some really cool stuff. Read more
- Hosang YuOctober 7, 2013Ticketing, luggage check in, and security all take just 15 minutes. It still doesn't disappoint me as the best and comfortable airport I've ever been and North American continent.
- Get your shoes shined up beautifully by Gisela at the hallway stand between gates C7 and C14. She does great work and really takes care of your shoes!
- There are outlets in the floor every so often if you need to power up. The Starbucks by CPK has dirty tables, but a great view to the Allegiant Air gates (spot the Blue Man Group plane!)
- Martin TurnerFebruary 22, 2015Wanna play as soon as you land in Las Vegas? The airport contains a lot of machines and lounges with more machines (plus smoking areas) ca$hing!
- Brandon JonesMarch 24, 2013If you have a long layover, go to the new American express centurion lounge. It's amazing. Food and premium booze included on admission. Worth the fifty bucks.
- The new Terminal 3 is really nice. Terminal 1 is always nuts, especially the TSA line. I know a few folks who actually won from the airport slots, despite the odds.
- During the hot months, in the C terminal all the AC is focused around the tram station. Head there to cool off, the outer gates are HOT!
- $25 bloody Mary’s if it’s a double shot but certainly helps the unavoidable hangover. Just don’t “do stupid sh*t when drunk”!Quoting Hangover movie there. #tigerDreams #notEverythingStaysInVegas 😉
- SerchNovember 25, 2015Good service and fast lane in Inmigration Services. Also very nice people in customs. Taxi is better option than shuttle if you're traveling in 3-4 group
- Taxi lines can be long. Have a drink, take a picture, have yours taken, try your luck, meet someone, and ride it out until you get in the cab. Then vanish like it never happened.
- If you're not checking bags, skip the ticket counter and use the universal kiosks to print boarding passes. They're located on the second level of T1 & T3 near the entrances to security. Never a line!
- Don't be running late for your flight if you have a rental. It's almost a one hour investment between finding the return area, to shuttling back to the airport. The worst setup I've ever seen!
- April BowenApril 26, 2015If you're alone & going to the strip, take a shuttle. If you're in a group going to the strip, split the taxi fare! #SaveSomeMoney
- Offsite rental car facility is practically in another state. Make sure you leave at least 30 mins to to take the shuttle and get your car after you land and get your bags.
- All of the restaurants are great, especially the bagel joint. Stop by crystals too the souvenirs are priceless
