God forbid you land in this God-damned airport after 9:00 p.m. Your one option for any smidgen of nourishment in Terminal 2 will be a Pepsi/Aquafina vending machine. Screw off Phoenix!
Great place for a layover....lots of food places spread out across the various terminals. Also not a bad place to watch people if you're a people watcher. Also free Wi-Fi :)
Business travelers head to terminal D and Le Grande Orange where you'll find quality and healthy dining options, better than average coffee and long tables with built in outlets.
Figured out a cool trick. If you're on southwest and you fly business select, reprint your boarding pass at the kiosk before security and you'll also get another drink ticket :)

The car rentals are really far from the airport. Don't worry, you haven't accidentally gotten on the Grand Canyon tourbus, but do plan an extra 10 minutes to or from the terminal.
As much traffic as this gets, it has a surprisingly dated feel to it without so many things that an airport in a major city would be expected to have. Few clubs, no business center, limited food....
If you are waiting to pick your loved ones up from Terminal 2 in Phoenix, try the Ocotillo Sun restaurant and bar. Its located before security and has meals with a southwestern flavor.
Time to kill between flights in terminal 4? If you don't mind going back out thru security there's lots of shopping & a mini art gallery in the main section.
If you're in the D concourse and sitting by gate 7... Watch your step! The view out the widow is nice, but watch the real birds inside searching the floor for crumbs! :)
Tip for the woman on the last flight: it's usually easier to hit on the much younger, hot guy sitting next to you on the plane if you don't have your eight year old daughter in tow.
Found out the hard way after United Flight was cancelled and rebooked to American, if you have to commute from Terminal A to Terminal B then you will have to go through TSA again. Not fun!
