I've been to Ippudo 20x and finally had my first special, the szeshuan tan tan. Oh my. All other times: akamaru modern kikuni style with egg. Several kaidame. Always a winner. Oishi desu!

Pork bun is ridiculously good. Salad dressing (wasabi based) is insanely good. Communal seating, great ambiance.

It's worth the wait which usually goes fast. Their classic ramen isn't salty which is perfect.

I think the classic ramen is the way to go. With added pork belly if you like. I like to have the Karashi Takana on the side.

Maguro tartar, octopus, buns, and wings. Solid ramen but I prefer the thicker noodles.

Tip: If you ask for vinegar, the staff will bring you a saucer of vinegar. Recommended. But to reach this stage you must have waited for an hour +.

HUGE wait for a table. My friends and I had to go to a nearby bar to kill time. But the warm bowls of happiness melted the cold we were experiencing (it was hailing). Heaven.

You can go in around 4 and make a sorta reservation for later that night. Cuts down hugely on wait. Go to black and white if you have long wait.

I think it's overrated: the bone broth is too heavy and over-seasoned. I must say the chicken and pork buns are delish. The chicken wings are WOW esp. paired with cabbage, it's a perfect marriage
