- Kristen PeiranoFebruary 15, 2015The modern ramen is the perfect ramen (if you prefer spicy do not get this one). Skip the pork buns. They are not even close to the hype
- Liz LeeJuly 21, 2013Everything was awesome. Servers are very on point. The host and hostess are wonderful. Tip them well people! (:
- Erica CongelliNovember 14, 2012Avoid the wait: put your name on the list, then go kill some time at the pool hall around the corner. They'll call you when your table is ready.
- val bravermanAugust 16, 2012Modern with poached egg is undeniably the best ramen I've ever had. Ever. Drink with an ice cold Sapporo. Heaven.
- There will *always* be a 90-minute wait, but don't despair! There's a chill pool hall a block north on 4th Ave, so arrive early and shoot a few games while you wait.
- Best pork buns in the city!! Momofuku cannot hold a candle to these! Ramen is more than excellent obviously! Get the Akamaru or the Karaka Kogashi!
- julia tNovember 28, 2014Worth the hype. Put your name down and go play pool at Amsterdam billiards to kill time. PORK BUNS.
- John SwordsAugust 8, 2014The ramen is some of the best in Manhattan. Not quite Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop.

http://www.yelp.com/menu/ippudo-ny-new-york - Jill XuFebruary 12, 2011<3 the rib, avocado & tofu tart, and spring roll as appetizer. 1st ramen on the menu is the best. green tea almond ice cream... hmm, yummy :P
- Try the goodbye rice (ocha zuke) for a little something extra, after a bowl of ramen soup. That's 3 logs of rice, dotted by sesame seeds and nori. Quite nice.
- Always get the pork buns. There's even a veggie version that somehow tastes just as good.
- The ramen is a must and so are the shisito peppers and pork belly buns.
- The Ramen is unbelievable and their pork buns might be the best in NYC.

- Dana DAugust 23, 2010Forget a table. Head to the corner of the bar, snag some of the excellent wings and a beverage. Then watch the people milling around outside waiting for their table.
- The broth in the Modern is what I imagine the urine of unicorns to taste like. Eat it up. Enjoy it. Savor every drop. Or I'll find you...
- Madeleine RootOctober 28, 2014Sure it's an awesome ramen place... But don't skip the pork buns. Yum!
- Erin FinneganApril 29, 2013Don't bring anyone who's ever been to Japan here; they'll complain that the ramen is twice as expensive as Tokyo and half as good. The three hour wait time means the proprietors have tricked NYC.
- H QJanuary 10, 2013I like the flavor of their ramen..but I can't stand their broth. It's too thick and unctuous in the mouth. Broth should be lighter
- Monday LisaSeptember 22, 2014One of the best ramen spots in NYC. Which is why there's always an unholy wait.
