Jake SmithJanuary 23, 2013There is a food truck located underneath the Southwest terminal; I'm not sure if this is for flight personnel only, but it sure is good.- Huge airport, it can be a pain to get from gate to gate.
Andrew HallApril 5, 2013Compared with other airports in TX notably DFW, this place is outdated, with little waiting space at the gates. Some interesting food options though if you have enough time.
If you go to the flyer talk forum you may find someone who to let you you in an airline lounge instead of sneaking wifi

Sign-up for TSA Pre-check! 60 seconds or less in security. If too few people use it they will remove the service from the C terminal. Currently not in the E terminal.

Sydne AllenJuly 4, 2011Give yourself plenty of time in between connecting flights to hunt down a restroom. When you find one, don't be surprised by uncleanliness. I prefer Hobby.
Best part of this airport is leaving it. It's an embarrassment. People are apathetic. Bathrooms are disgusting and suffer from infrequent cleanings and deferred maintenance issues. Food is mediocre.
Use Metro Airport Direct to get downtown for $4.50. 40 min ride. Best deal in Htown!
Pay attention to which train you get on at IAH and hold on to pole. It's a crummy ride.
