If you have a long layover between flights, Head over to E-5 in United's beautiful international terminal. The view is outstanding. You can watch aircraft depart three different runways from this here
Pedestrian travelers beware the fleet of high-speed transport vehicles barreling haphazardly through the terminal. "To your left! To the right! In the middle!" It's like a game of Frogger out there.
If you are arriving on an international flight be sure you plan plenty of time if you are connecting in Houston. Long lines in immigration and customs take a very long time to process through.
Free Wifi here at IAH at President Lounge! Don't 4 get if u at the TSA area take all your metal, or electronic off 1 more thing if a minor child "NO NEED" to go through the scanner!
It's a big airport with free wifi! Terminal E has the best food spots like CatCora's, Cinnabon, sushi place, Pappasito's cantina and many others! It also has nice stores and a large seating area
Dedicated ESTA terminals at immigration, which means that those eligible could get through immigration within 10 minutes (I did). Also, United/ANA check baggage through for international transit!
If it's your first time driving in there to drop/pick-up, lay out your strategic battle plan beforehand, or risk being forever lost in this concrete Charlie Foxtrot of roads and sudden passageways.
Arrived at 9:30pm and all restaurants and food cafes were shutting down. There was only one food stand in terminal B with wraps and a McDonalds. Of course our choice was to get the wraps!
Next stop San Francisco? Check https://foursquare.com/tek/list/free-wifi--power-in-san-francisco for a list of places with free Wifi AND power outlets to work from in San Francisco.
If you're in Terminal A get a shoeshine from Clifford. He will deliver one of the best shoeshines you'll ever get, but an even better conversation. Don't forget the tip.
Make sure u always put a empty bag on top of your packed bags. Just in case u have to take something's out for weight. And out all toiletries in zip lock bags
Ive been to a LOT of airports, and this one has far and away the friendliest (while still thorough) TSA/security staff ever. I mean I made like 7 friends on my way through Customs kind of friendly.
Put on your walking shoes! There are sky trains that will get you from terminal to terminal that is inside security. There’s also a Disney tram in the basement that is outside of security.
If you're connecting from abroad and have Pre-check/Global Entry, skip the security lines by exiting to the left of the connecting bag area and taking the elevator up to the precheck line.
Good chinese food near the boarding gate in terminal 1. The staff is super friendly, I felt just a little dizzy and they called the doctor of the airport to come see me 😦
So your flight is delayed, you are beat down, hot, tired and a shower sounds like a god send. Good news showers are available at the United Club in E terminal. The $50 fee for non members is worth it.
The Real Food Company in Terminal C is some of the best Airport food we've ever had! Lots of fresh, hot selections. Try the Monte Cristogrilled sandwich!
Top Dining Options: Le Grand Comptoir, Terminal C; Cat Cora's Kitchen, Terminal E; Urban Crave, Terminal C; The Real Food Company, Terminal C; Shipley's Donuts, Terminal B. Read more
The new C terminal extension is state of the art and a totally different experience with connected tablets everywhere for waiting passengers to use. Nice upgrade IAH.
Lots of good food options...I like The Breakfast Klub. If you’re flying United out of terminal A and need to check a bag, you need to go to terminal B to do it.
Amazingly smooth US Customs check in via new kiosks, that scan your passports, ask you the questions, take your photo then print your form, advance to the customs officer and pass through!
It's like a long International boarding process regardless for every size aircraft or destination. I can swear I think United must had hired Southwest to implement their cattle call experience...LOL
Arrive early and explore the airport! IAH has some great dining and shopping options. Plus, it's always good to account for any unexpected delays or lines.
If you're waiting for your flight around the C-43ish gate area, you NEED to go to UpperCrest. They have the BEST fresh baguette sandwiches. No lie. Seriously wish they had one where I lived!
Very clean, open, and bright atmosphere. I always like coming through this airport and getting a coffee and a copy of the New York Times at Starbuck before stepping on the plane.
This airport has nice shops and restaurants inside, two priority pass lounges, and it's quick to transfer to other terminals with the sky train. It's solid!
Flew United and was a big fan of all the food and beverage options in Terminal 3. There's a great little sushi spot in the older part of the Terminal near the C Gates.
Typical stateairport "the big is beautiful", good but not as artistic as other airport in asia or midlle east. Far from city center & not many option to use public transport #TravelingUS #Texas
George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the 8th busiest airport in the U.S. and offers service to more Mexican destinations than any other airport in the nation.
