Grab a gallon of beer as you gear up in line for some of the best BBQ in the city. The brisket holds up to some of the best you'd find on the Gut Trail.
Dont be stingy. Order more then u can handle, cuz that line ain't getting any shorter. Get a gallon of beer and make sure to eat as sloppy as possible. Its how god intended you to eat this shit.
Ace BBQ, brilliant sides, huge wooden tables for cozycommunal seating, magical flatscreen "fireplace," and, last we checked, 30 kinds of bourbon. Don't go there looking for a salad.
Really good. The pulled pork was awesome, not doused in sauce. Pork ribs were super juicy, beef ribs were kinda dry. Try the potato salad, its not the normal mayo-soaked kind. Pass on the sweet tea.
Great BBQ with very laid-back summer atmosphere in the Burg. Beer comes in mason jars (or mini mason jars for half pints). Right across from the Knitting Factory.
Food was great but I wish the guy behind the counter wasn't such a jackwad. Either he woke up on the wrong side of the bed or he just loves displaying his hipster-pretentiousness towards patrons...
Everything was cold. Ribs and brisket have nice bark and flavor but were cold and dry. The ribs I couldn’t eat, they weren’t tender, felt like I was trying to take a bite out of cartilage.
It gets crowded but it's totally worth the wait. Although you may be tempted to eat outside on a cold night, don't as the food will cool off very quickly. BBQ is not meant to be cold.
Unfortunately, I have lived in North Carolina and this is just mediocre Pulled Pork BBQ. Also their sauces need name tags. I guess this is the best you can get in NYC, but I would't do the line again
Native Texan - and these are some of the best pork ribs I have ever tasted. Skip the sausage - it's nothing to write home about. Overpriced BBQ, but it's New York City so...
