- The Spark GroupJune 6, 2011Great atmosphere, great food. If you're in the mood for great BBQ, you cannot go wrong here. Bring a group of friends and order for sharing. It's all worth having. Our favorite: the pork belly.
- Ana Marie 💃February 13, 2015I'm a skeptic on BBQ above the MaseDix, but this place has good smoke. Brisket and sausage are delish, nice to go in the summer and sit outside.
- Jake SmithMay 20, 2016The pulled pork was a bit dry, and the three sauces (vinegar, sweet, and spicy) were all a bit lackluster. I liked the experience, but the food was lacking. Burnt End beans were very good.
- The pulled pork shoulder is the regular hero here but the specials are always sublime. Grab some beer at the bar to drink while in line.
- Jessica WickhamMarch 4, 2017Amazing BBQ place, long benches and outside area, and a great bar with a great range of beers with novelty kitchen knife taps!
- George SpartanAugust 30, 2012If you love someone down to earth bring Em here. Some of the Best FN BBQ I've ever in NYC. Seating & waiting is horrendous. Plan ahead be hungry & well peed B4 coming here the lines are long wknds etc
- Chelsea BalkanJuly 28, 2013#FabuLIST #DubiDO for two people get 1/2 lb ribs, 1/4 pork belly (my fav!), and 1/4 pulled pork. Broccoli side is very spicy but the pickles are great for cleansing the palate.
- Olly NewportSeptember 5, 2015Very decent BBQ — 1/4 brisket, 1/4 pulled pork, 1 sausage and BBQ beans. Service from the bar was wrong side of the bed territory.
- Men's Health MagSeptember 23, 2011A former ironworker’s shop that serves some of the best BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon. Order the smoked prime rib medium rare and sit at a picnic table, take in the butchery charts and dig in.
- Lauren DMarch 13, 2013Awesome meat, got the brisket, pickles, & key-lime pie for dessert! Also get the Brooklyn Mule in Ball-mason jars :)Pretty sweet bar pulls- various kitchen knives
- exfmFebruary 14, 2012Some of the best BBQ in New York and one of our favorite places grab a bite before hitting a show at the Knitting Factory. Just make sure to get there early because there is always a line.
- Lewis KingJanuary 10, 2015A word of warning: it's very easy to spend a fortune here if you don't understand how big the portions are. Also they'll serve you before there is anywhere to sit... Great food though
- Ina LiSeptember 5, 2016Get a group of friend and a big platter to share! Try their Brooklyn mule cocktail
- Zii HammadApril 15, 2015This is one of the few places around that is worth the wait. As usual, the people who come here aren't the greatest, but just grab a whiskey and you'll be fine.
- NearSay NYCAugust 2, 2011Need some BBQ, head over to Fette Sau. The menu varies daily and It's self serve Texas cafeteria style. We love the pulled pork, sausage and baked beans! They also have an amazing bourbon selection.
- Alex PyatetskyAugust 23, 2015As far as bbq joints go, fette sau's does the job but it's far from great. The meats can get dried out from sitting in their case and the sauces are ok. I like more tang. Def check out Mighty Quinn's
- Jessica PerryNovember 11, 2011The smell alone is intoxicating, but the meat is divine. Pulled pork, sausage, and brisket are my favorites. Until Fette Sau, I never knew that I could crave and lust over baked beans.
- if you are lucky enough to visit while they have beef cheeks on the menu, do not hold back. they are perhaps the best meat they have: crunchy chewy on the outside, tender on the inside, super flavor!
- Colleen ElizabethJune 9, 2012The pulled pork, sausage links, and baked beans are to die for. No line if you come on a rainy day, otherwise be prepared for it to wrap around to the sidewalk. Well worth it.
- Becca BaeSeptember 11, 2014Order a pound of a brisket and dine cafeteria style with your carnivorous friends. The baked beans are a little too sweet for my liking.
- Andrew FurmanJuly 6, 2015The brisket is amazing. Ribs are great. Pork shoulder is good but really fatty. One person can eat about 3/4 lbs of meat.
- Andie SleemanDecember 14, 2016This is one of the few places I don't mind lining up for. The BBQ is awesome, the whiskey & beer selections are great!
- Sofia FigueroaNovember 12, 2016Make sure to stake out a table while you wait in line, brisket & pulled pork w/ broccoli and beans. Get spicy bbq sauce!
- Elif OnerOctober 15, 2014Absolutely amazing - brisket in particular. And I don't even LIKE red meat. ++ Planning on washing down that w/ diet coke or something? :/ Too rustic to serve processed aspartame, y'know.
- I always get the broccoli salad, then regret it. Just don't even try to get a healthy thing just get in, get fat and be happy 😍
- Flat out the best BBQ in NYC. If you are fortunate to come in on a day they have beef ribs, get them.
- Alex VanderkooyJanuary 24, 2015Meat is priced by the pound. Sides are priced individually. Great bbq. Beers. Brisket. Beans.
- Erik CintronMarch 19, 2012Incredible everything was great. It had this cool cafeteria feel. They have their own beer the BBQ is perfectly cooked and they give u everything on butcher paper
- Sarah NelsonMarch 2, 2012Favorite BBQ- communal tables, large shared portions of BBQ, and lots of mason jug beer and whiskey. great outdoor seating for good weather. unique spot.
- Expect to wait. Too close to the Bedford stop, so it gets the NJ tourists. But it's absolutely incredible BBQ--perhaps the best in the city--and has some great beers to wash it down.
- Adam YaegerSeptember 5, 2016MEAT!!! This is the best BBQ I've had in the northeast. They rotate the types of meat you can choose frequently and everything is really tasty. Best BBQ spot in Brooklyn by far!
- BassimApril 27, 2015I ordered black Angus beef brisket. Man. It was the best beef ever! The atmosphere and the staff are great too.
- J.R. ReedJanuary 12, 2018Brisket is outstanding - great spot to hang out with friends. Pork belly and broccoli are other must have items
- J BOctober 25, 2017Great atmosphere and food to match. The beans are awesome. Go at the beginning of the week to avoid the mega queues.
- The tap list and the bourbon selection is awesome. The barbecue is solid and the source is fun and casual.
- Josh MateoOctober 20, 2012First of all amazing. Try out a 1/4 pound of the brisket and a 1/4 of the pulled pork with a sausage link. Prime combination
- Tobias KMay 1, 2019Brisket here is really, really excellent. I feel like this place deserves a lot more buzz than it gets.
- James ShehanMay 26, 2016Obviously the various BBQ meats but also try the burnt ends baked beans, German potato salad and key lime pie.
- Phil BucklerAugust 7, 2014Brisket here is better than Mighty Quinn and Brisket Town. There I said it. Also the sauces are really good.
- Kate FurmanJuly 6, 2015They sell bbq by the pound, nothing is bad here so try a little bit of everything. Get here earlier in the day, they can run out later at night.
- favorite place to get texas style bbq. the line is long, but it's worth it for the pork belly. get beers for the wait in line.
- Amazing BBQ. Good jams. Rad bartenders. Friendly counter and meat cutter. Stop in for some jowl and a quart of sixpoint vienna pale ale *brewed exclusively for Fette sau!
- somejerkFebruary 26, 2016Order food by the pound! If you're not sure how many ribs are in a pound, just tell them how many you want. Be prepared to pay a premium.
- Adrien LSeptember 4, 2014The ribs are okay but the brisket is to die for. Beans and potato salad for sides. You can't go wrong.
- Rich GallagherSeptember 6, 2011Grab a gallon of beer as you gear up in line for some of the best BBQ in the city. The brisket holds up to some of the best you'd find on the Gut Trail.
- Marc WatleyNovember 2, 2013Stupid good. Get the ribs, the pork shoulder, and - most definitely - the sausage. Oh my.
- Guest of a GuestOctober 11, 2011Fette Sau is a meatlover's dream. It has all the finest types of BBQ-style cooked meat that you can possibly imagine. And really, really good whiskey. Read more
