Love this airport one of my favorites - amazingly well organized - security check at gates is brilliant and makes travel a joy - Charles de Gaulle and JFK could learn a lot from this airport.

The NS ticket machines here take Apple Pay, so it's one of the few places I've found to load € onto the OV chipkaart without a chip & pin credit card!
KathleenSeptember 14, 2013Go upstairs toward the lounges and follow signs to Mediation Area. There are lounge chairs you can sit in and put your feet up. Also, nicer toilets I'll here near BA lounge and showers.

This is a big airport so going to the baggage hall and arrival hall can take minutes. Also, picking up your baggage can take time because 3 flights share one conveyor belt.- Huge airport, we’ll laid out for being an international hub. Some of the gates are far removed from restrooms & food courts so plan ahead.

They have a body scanner machine and do manual search on your body so DON'T you dare! 😈😈- When you landed and feel too tired for public transport i recommend to go upstairs to departures 3 and take a cab from there. The fare price will be 10% off.

Amr FouadOctober 7, 2014Transportation from Airport with BVG take bus 69 and drop of at Meer En Vaart (15 min from airport) and take tram 1 or 17 to the central station ( Amsterdam central ) 15-20 min
Offers 1 hour free wifi + the famous "folan el folany u r delaying the flight, immediate boarding plz at gate X".. This is perhaps the second largest hub for transit flights i've seen after Heathrow
For lunch buy a freshly baked roll in the bakery section and a warm meatball in the butcher's section in the the Food Village Supermarket behind Starbucks for one of the best meatball sandwiches.

The train to Rotterdam only takes 25 minutes and rides 5/hour if you want to experience something different from Amsterdam

Humble people..even sometimes security hold u in immigration office for a while to those who doenst have any invitation letter..just tell them that ur visit for vacation..hehheh..
The best airport in Europe. Casino's , Heineken bars , wine bars , good shopping and fast luggage handling.
If landing here early and there’s a long line to get through passport control, go to the Starbucks or a food shop and the line will be gone by the time you’ve gotten your food.

Instead of doing a couple extra flights to get higher status, get a Privilum pass. It’ll get you lots of the perks of having status with an airline for the cost of a single flight.
Big! Some very good places to eat and lots of shops. Security is actually at the gate so bear in kind when heading to the gate that it takes more time

At first it's not easy to get around, but with time you get used to it. Connection to Amsterdam is great!
Find the outside terraces after you have cleared security and customs for some fresh air. Best of all is that smoking is not allowed there.
The coolest airport I have ever visited. Huge area full of everything you need for any taste.
- One of the best hubs in Europe. Watch out for your connections: if you have to cross the airport, it'll take over 30min!
Andrew LeckieApril 2, 2013Not a bad airport to be stuck in. Check out the Yotel for a place to sleep/shower/relax on longer stops. For shorter stays find the "Comfort Seating" area + bring your drinks from the bar.
frickaMarch 21, 2016beautiful airport, all the shops have a quiet nice design and there are lots of plants but only starbucks has soymilk :(- If you have time to waste here, check out the mini Rijksmuseum, and head upstairs in Lounge 1 for the "Airport Park" which includes an outdoor patio!
