- Plenty of shops for presents, loads of different alternatives for restaurants / coffee. Be careful with connecting flights, you might need to walk for some minutes from one end to the other...
Excellent airport with free wi-fi. A lot of stores and restaurants, but not all, are closed airside during COVID-19 crisis; so no poffertjes, but you can have cheese.

Besides the nice family owned restaurants and boutiques 💕- Bloody amazing airport. One of my favs due to cleanliness and accommodating staff members. I love AMS and Netherlands is such a beauty.This is one of THE MOST Convenient Airport around the world! <3

8PM ReservationNovember 19, 2016Very big airport. Give yourself plenty of time to reach the gate. The champagne bar/cafe is lovely and Murphys bar has the best 90's hip hop.
Nice and clean airport. Navigating around is very easy with many info stands and there are plenty of good shops and restaurants. Prices are a bit high but it’s airport after all.
Briana BaileyMay 5, 2019Lots comfortable lounge chairs across the airport without having to enter a paid lounge. Many shops and restaurants to choose from. Large airport though so takes a while to walk to gate.
Beautiful airport with lightning fast check-in and security. Coffee shops everywhere and a couple of smoking zones too. Like there is one near Gate B17. Brilliant coffee and hotdogs too.

Good connections by train with Amsterdam and other cities. Quite a lot of cafes and fast food places to spend some Euros before ur trip. 30min free internet.
Staying for a few days around Amsterdam? Get the 2-3 day travel pass from the visitor center, also includes airport transfers and night busses
Amsterdamers, leave a bit of space in you bags or carry your AH reusable bag for your trip to do groceries from the AH at Schiphol plaza on your way back.
One of the best airports in the world - easy to move around in, lots of shopping, and IN AIRPORT there is a casino and an art museum. Long layovers are no concern.

There's even a casino for those who are into that!- If you plan to shop for 25 € or more, download the Schiphol app, search for your departing flight and choose to track it. You will then get a 5 € discount voucher.
Schipol: Organized, clean, authentic and beautiful... Immigration desks can be a pain point with short connections as they do get really really busy.

Nice airport with good choice of food, coffee shops, stores etc. There's an outdoor area and numerous smoking rooms, so a great airport to transit and wait for you connection.

When you park at Privium P2, you only have hand luggage, you are already checked in and your plane leaves from gates B or C, then you can take the premium shortcut-bridge (skipping the departure hall)

Favorite airport for good reason - rijksmuseum, holland blvd, airport park, panorama area, etc. Free wifi here. There's a lot to see and do. Find the open piano - listen to a stranger or play yourself
KLM brand new lounge is great: good seats, tap heineken beer and food good enough you do not need to have dinner on the plane. And the coffee is awesome: Douwe Egberts!!!

MarianNovember 17, 2014I like the Market Food Court on Concourse D. Up the escalator, next to one of the big duty-free shops. I like the central buffet area with fresh salads and nice soup, etc..
Clean. Considering the fact that many different people from all over the world stay in Schiphol a few hours before their flight leaves, they have few to no vegan and allergy-friendly food options
When you've got an overnight layover, & can't make it into the city, & the airport hotels are full, go to the bread bar open 24/7 & then find the chairs by the sky lounges & make your own night of it.
JessJuly 23, 2024possibly the best airport i’ve been in. plenty of food options, all of which are pleasant. wooden flowers are always a great gift to bring home as well.
One of my fav airports to fly back from the US via. No security on a return trip and speedy automated passport control! Plane to gate in 15 mins ;)
- Free WiFi, many phone charging points, lots of dinner options (pizza place across Burger King in main hall is one of the best), few queues. But can get busy at peak times.
