- Aaron BookerFebruary 26, 2014I love the security staff here. The focus on the individual and they interview each person. Much preferred to the bureaucratic meat grinder of the US TSA.

- Vivek BansalFebruary 5, 2014If you have time to kill and are hungry don't bother going though to departures. Go towards the airport car park and head towards the Sheraton or Hilton hotels and enjoy some hassle free drink/food
- Daniel O'ConnorAugust 31, 2019Terminal 2: a dreary experience, with a bar that closes at 6pm on a Saturday; passengers laying about in despair as their flights face delays.
- Greg DiamondDecember 22, 2015There are many device charging stations throughout the airport, but they're frequently out of order. Look for the stands with red fire hoses, there's always a working 220v plug on the back.
- The best transit airport in EU! Period. Free wifi, attentive staff with humor, clean bathrooms, signage, queuing, sky lounges with nap rooms. And it is in Amsterdam. Need I say more?

- Go to the gran cafe plaza for the best deals on lunch or dinner. It's before checking in, in Schiphol plaza
- Secret quiet spot: at the far end of section D (gate D87), there are reclined seats, an amazing view of the runways, and NO people. Very odd; very nice.
- JenKuduJuly 27, 2012KNOW if you purchase duty free to carry on from an airport other than schipol, it can be confiscated. Purchased duty free in FLR airport, carried on, connected in AMS for flight to USA. Not allowed!
- This place is so big and always feels chaotic to me. British Airways check in and Hayes are miles away. Factor in 40 mins to get to your gate, then of course you need another 40 for security.
- Andrew LeckieApril 2, 2013Not a bad airport to be stuck in. Check out the Yotel for a place to sleep/shower/relax on longer stops. For shorter stays find the "Comfort Seating" area + bring your drinks from the bar.
