Alex LundryJuly 21, 2010Great place to bring bored kids on a hot day. Watch the planes taxi and take-off in the AC. Of course try to avoid high traffic times out of respect to people actually travelling.

Adrian SolisMarch 16, 2013If you're flying out of Terminal A, allot 10-15 mins for the hike to the terminal from the Metro station. Whew!- Beats IAD by far! Easy access to I395 and metro into the city. My preferred DC airport.
Lots of renovations happening here. Excited to see it all finished.

Whatever you do, don't call it "Reagan". Call it "National" or the locals (like me) will hate you.

To get to the red line from DCA metro stop, take yellow line towards georgia/mt vernon and get off at gallery place then switch to red. happy metro riding!

The cell phone waiting area has like 15 spaces total. Just wait in front of the exit like the signs say not to.

Heather JNovember 4, 2013Don't go through TSA and wander into your gate until you need to if you want something to do or eat. There isn't a lot to do (we were in the screening that went to gate 38).
Airport security is a run like the DC government. 6 people standing around, watching one person work. Headphones also seemed to be a security threat and had to be run through an X-ray machine.

Daniel SanchezDecember 28, 2010If you are heading to downtown DC make sure you know what metro line gets you closer. Changing trains with luggage can be a hassle. Metro stations and cars are not luggage friendly.
Locals still call the only major city airport named after two presidents, "National."
Try to grab a window seat flying in and out. Great views of DC, northern VA/Alexandria.

This airport is easily accessible by metro. If you're flying domestic it's worth considering.

Terminal A has a nostalgic hallway art museum of sorts. Cool memorabilia.
