I am astonished that it is not mandatory for all taxis to allow passengers to pay by credit card. It is 30 degrees out today and two cabs were allowed to refuse to take me. Change this rule!
So much more convenient than IAD. Oh and skip the Dunkin Donuts; they're terrible here.
KellyMarch 2, 2014Have to wait several minutes to take the ghetto bus to get to your gate.. And more buses to some planes! No good food selections. Small and dumpy and very overcrowded! Long line to use restrooms.
Erin RathSeptember 1, 2016Security is quick, which is nice. Unfortunately, the Delta terminal has a very limited selection of coffee – as in, Starbucks or Starbucks.
If you are taking off towards the north, sit on right side of plane and have camera ready.

Delta frequent flyers can get TSA-pre. Fast security without emptying your bags or taking off your shoes.
Joel ReedJanuary 20, 2015Usually long lines, but outside security they have a few decent shops and eateries to kill some time.
Fares seem to be significantly cheaper for government travelers from DCA than at IAD or BWI. And TSA lines are short and Metro takes you there.

if you arrive early enough, one way to pass some time is to go through security in the wrong terminal.
The landings are hard and the takeoffs are fun but the convenience is hard to beat.
Frontier Airlines check- in does not open until 0430! Even if you check-in online, there's no frontier staff to take your bag!!

Kate SlagaJune 23, 2013Going through security is total hit or miss. Sometimes it's 5 minutes from curb to gate, sometimes it's closer to an hour.
Cheapest breakfast: --pot belly. $3.50 for a big ass breakfast sandwich

Don't ever lay on the carpets in the B and C Terminals. The terminals are infested with field mice. They run around everywhere late in the evening. Probably where your laying now!
You can get to terminal B/C from terminal C on a bus--but you cannot get to terminal B. B/C is a different terminal, strangely.- Use Uber cabs are terrible at national and the people running the cab lines are very in professional.
- Chris EricksonDecember 22, 2015Worst TSA agents, ever. And that is a high bar to raise. Today, heard one of the agents at the American Airlines screening checkpoint tell a traveler to "Stop being an Asshole."
Avoid having your hairspray confiscated! Check it with your bag and fly with fabulous hair!
Just had a veggie sandwich. Basically a 5 Guys burger...no meat. Awesome and reasonable

Decent food options though, limited souvenir places.
Best day to travel late afternoon day after Thanksgiving.
