Travel light, get here early, and definitely have a bloody Mary to adjust the attitude!
Good food at blue burrito in C and A gates. Good yoshis in D gates. Yummm. Paradise cafe out side of sec is to die for!

Allow a HUGE amount of time to get a rental car and to get back to the terminal after dropping it off! Slowest I have ever seen!

There's a great shuttle that will take you to the Light Rail, worth it to avoid parking fees!
The security line for D gates looks shorter than A, but the ratio of security personnel to people is the same. Thus, you wait the same amount of time...pro tip.
A small and simple airport as that doesn't have many restaurants in every corner

Blanco burrito by gate A6 is pretty tasty and filling, even though it's expensive (to be expected at the airport) and the burritos are small.
If you're heading to A1-10.... There is NNNOOOOOO coffee. Get it elsewhere first.

The buses from the covered east economy lot run 3 buses for every 1 from the uncovered lot
Sophia BAugust 14, 2011Can cruise through security and check in quickly no need to arrive more than 1.5 hrs early for sure. 1 hr is plenty of time- Keep your empty water bottle thru Security, and refill on other side! And keep drinking...

Max ADecember 7, 2013Always opt out of the scanner. They have nice gentle hands here with a sensual touch. Private screening room has scented candles. I finish 3 out of 4 times.
This is the only airport in the US that I have been too that has airplane pattern carpet. How funny!

InfamousTonyJDecember 5, 2012It troubles me to be in a state with such bigoted state policies as Arizona---even if just to connect flights. I won't spend a dime while here and encourage others to do the same.
If in terminal C, eat at Jose Roux's! Must have the chx tacos...the homemade tortillas are yummy!- Terminal 4 is my favorite in the country! Free wifi, great shopping, pet friendly, and with a dog park!
Its not even worth it to try the wi-fi...not even in the US Airways Club. Wish they'd make it better!!
KinaOctober 5, 2011If coming in from Cabo, be sure to bring small bottles of booze for when you're stuck on delays on the tarmack during lightening storms.
