LingsSeptember 26, 2013Write a card with your name and destination before coming out of arrival; the hordes of airport transfer staff will overwhelm you. Also, if taking a cab, meter > suggested rates sometimes.
WOctober 27, 2013If arriving at the airport many hours b4 your flight's check-in time, have your meals already or get a takeaway b4 coming to airport. There're no restaurants b4 the immigration counter.
When you go in feels like you're not in Bali anymore. Most of the restaurants don't open till 6am. Oh and free wifi!

immigration on arrival is terrible. Just 2 officers for over 500 tourist. we were waiting about 2 hours to pass by. nobody cares about guests here.

Robert WongFebruary 16, 2013You want a guy that's not gonna rip you off then I'm recommending "Made" he is great, attentive and not a con artist like some dubious taxi drivers I have encountered.
Where I am on Legian, the taxi desk considers as Seminyak. Official rate on the board is IDR110,000 but they charge IDR150,000. Normal Bluebird taxi from the hotel to airport only costs abt IDR72,000.

As the airport is under renovation, allocate more time fr ur hotel b4 departure. they change the drop off point n the domestic departure gate: it's quite far away & the walking take time.
Try Storm beer while you're in Bali! The best beers! No preservatives and all natural beer! Mau favorite is the Tropical Ale!

The exit at international arrival hall is just super messy not comfortable at all after long flight with taxi counter long queue and shop took space that's supposed to be for passengers
Two Tigers at departure food hall serves sushi & noodles. Both were disappointing. Kitchen uses too much sauce in their noodles. My ramen soup was just salty water. Their California roll was bland

the new domestic terminal is quite nice.. more coffee shop, resto and lounge please.. domestic airport tax is 90K, more expensive than Jakarta..
Sometimes for the announcement of any delays or changing gates and etc.... are not really clear announced. So open your ears widely, and good luck...;) (ps: try to listen to every announcement...) :p
Marsa IrenaDecember 25, 2019Don't take airport taxi, better use Gocar or Indrive, to get you to hotel. Price difference is huge. Airport taxi Rp200-300,000, vs online car for 80-90 thousand rupiah. Be smart not to get scammed.
