They had the best chips at a stand near our gate - popchips.com yummy Continental A-20a.
I always hit up the hertz bathrooms before heading over to the terminals where there never fails to be a long line
click logOctober 11, 2010Now NJTransit b/w New York Penn station and Airport is $12.50 whereas bus to Manhattan is $15.
The section with gates 110 plus has the best food court.
If you have a 3-hour wait and access to an airport lounge, spend 2.5 hrs there BEFORE going through security. It's a wasteland at EWR terminal A after security and there's no way to no lounges either
Jamba Juice is near gate 133 in the C terminal.
Newark airport is not in New York it's in New Jersey people get it right
Don't believe the ppl who ask u for money . They are bums . But dress decent enough and even have luggage to make them look legít...
When arriving don't go to arrivals if getting picked up. Instead go to departures. Much easier for everyone.
NJ taxis don't have AC and don't take credit cards. I suggest a car service which will actually save you money.
Get comfy. It'll be a miracle if your flight departs or arrives on time.

Do NOT use electronic boarding passes at this airport. They are not fully equipped for them and you will be shunted to longer lines.
Men's bathroom in gates 20 to 27 on terminal a is downstairs and there is no elevator.

Coffee options: Starbucks in Terminal B or Dunkin Donuts in Terminal C. Nothing beyond security anywhere. Bleak.

Avoid this airport if you are flying Delta, terrible wait times, no regular schedule for PreCheck. SkyTrain is shut down for "mandatory repairs" ... They do have temp busses running, more long lines!
The security line is always questionable, either you breeze thru it or you wait forever reguardless of the time of day.

Alvin CAugust 22, 2013Shittiest airport I've literally ever been in. No connection between certain gates without having to pass through security TWICE. Slowest transit time ever, and the worst duty free selection. Avoid.

The hotel pick up area is the absolute worst. People are rude. There needs to be a system for being picked up because it's a free for all.
