MickeyOctober 15, 2013Hateeee this airport. TSA is slow as all hell. Good luck not missing your connecting flight if you land at C and have to get to A. Oh and be prepared to go thru security again.
Vine Volo is a great place to grab a drink or a bite before a flight. Near Gate 73 in Terminal C.

Newark Airport Express bus ($15) isn't bad and can be faster than the AirTrain + NJ Transit. Never take a cab into the city...so expensive!
International and United hub for flights. Have had good and bad experiences with customer service here. Rather fly out of EWR vs Philadelphia
Always pick up on departure level...less crowds and easier to wait...
Anthony CameronAugust 23, 2017Awful airport. Complete lack of choices for food. The departures lounge and indeed most of the airport is old fashioned and horrible. Train to NYC penn station is convenient.
Mariama RentoyAugust 11, 2014Had to pay $5 for a pushcart! Tsk every other international airport has free ones.
$15 express bus to NYC takes an hour one way. A cab to midtown costs $75 and takes anything from 30 to 60 minutes.
My favorite airport in the area. Terminal C is the best. Flights are usually close to on time but there are things to keep yourself occupied if delayed.
Food in the American terminal is depressing; be sure to eat well before. It's obvious American's is not the premiere airline terminal here; fly Continental. =P

Good thing the TSA now knows what a pump is/looks like so I don't have to get bogged down by 726392 security guards again

BEST (and quick + cheap) way to get back into Midtown (NYC) is the Newark Airport Express!

The taxi system is beyond the pale. 90% of the time the the credit card machines are broken, if u aren't aware, u have to PREPAY by credit. You have to pay for tolls BOTH WAYS... In cash. Sucks.
Do NOT accept a ride from someone who approaches you at the airport in baggage claim. They are illegal, unlicensed and you may be gouged, robbed or worse. Alert police if you're harassed!
Probably the worst airport I've ever been to. Terrible layout, terrible signage, terrible people, and terrible security. Demolish and start over Newark.

Naomi MinorSeptember 30, 2012**There is a shuttle that runs between Terminal A and C. Do not exit past security. We asked directions from TSA to Terminal C and they gave us directions that made us go through security again
This airport needs a complete renovation. Very outdated in terms of aesthetics, technology, cleanliness, and other amenities.
Been flying in and out of here for 15 years. There is ALWAYS construction.
Surprisingly my early arrival (7:30) flight had no delays and no TSA line. It was a breeze. If only out was like that all the time
Jersey rocks- See the shore, go to NYC. Go to Northwest Jersey. Nice golf courses.
Baggage claim area has tiny bathrooms. Hit the head before going through customs.
Allow lots of time, even the Premier Access line is slow here
