When you're inevitably trapped here the Brussel sprout pizza from Crust isn't too bad. The employees at the one next to Gate C16 are real nice too.
Love the fact that you have an electric outlet pretty much everywhere... And iPads are all over the place as well!

Aside from the new Delta terminal, this is the most depressing, dingiest looking airport in the country. It'll take years for a makeover.
It's fine. iPads everywhere, even when you sit at a restaurant. You have to move it aside to chat with the person you are with. Oh, and you have to order all foods through the app on the iPad.
You can transfer to/from the M60 bus at Astoria Blvd station on the N or Q subway lines. Beats getting off/on the bus in Manhattan and sitting in traffic the whole time!
Perhaps the PANYNJ ought to show NYC some respect and upgrade LGA. ITS A THIRD WORKD AIRPORT IN A FIRST WORLD CITY! This is a disgrace and insult to NYC.

Clifford RyanJuly 16, 2013Get a MetroPass at the airport (or $2.50 in quarters) and get on the Q33 bus to Roosevelt Ave Bus Terminal (last stop). Transfer to the 7, E, F, M or R train, depending on where you are headed.

Allow a little extra time. Road exits keep changing. Construction makes things a little complicated.

Don't always enter the priority line. Sometimes the security line is longer for priority, go in the general line - it may be faster. You can see the line so it's not that you are betting blind.
They’re working on it but let’s face it-it’s a maze right now, construction for 2 years. Fly JFK if you can.
A cab from the city to LGA or vice versa should run about $36. Don't go for the smooth talking curbside attendants trying to get you into the city for $65. Scammy

Very impressed with the new Delta Terminal. Plenty of seats and electrical outlets. Free iPads to use while you wait and decent food options. Makes delays less aggravating.

The pizza place in the delta terminal that replaced sbarros is awesome. Probably one of the top 5 in all of new York and long island. Funny it's in an airport.

- Eric KwiatkowskiSeptember 9, 2011When you're leaving beat the line by either hitting up the cab stand to the far right or walking around the building to the left to the lot where the cabs originate from.
The Delta terminal is the only nice one. Get a window seat and you might get some Instagram worthy pics of Manhattan.
If you're returning a rental car better plan a lot of extra time. Need to take 2 busses and then walk quite a bit, especially if you're going to terminal D.
we live for the fountain!!! honestly the renovation has made me a get to the airport 2 hours early type of person

I'm liking the new walkway that connects terminal D to C...very refreshing. Keep it real, laugh a lot. Flying Southwest is pretty sweet as well, saves on $.
If you bought liquor/liquids at an int'l airport & have a connecting flight in the US, put it in your checked luggage when you claim it! You go thru security again and they will take it if you don't.- For those like me who don't like traditional breakfast items, the Chinese restaurant in the food court area serves rice, veggies & spicy chicken @ 7 am. Lovely!

Lines for the taxis are horrendous. Boyfriend suggested Uber, SO convenient &quick! Download the app& use the promo code ds89j, & it credits you $20 to use towards your fare, so cheaper than cab, too
Highly recommended when looking to catch a flight. Even then that's a stretch, though. Fly on Christmas if you can its quiet and flights are on time!

For car rentals, take the Red Line bus shuttle to the rental car stop which is included with Terminal A
It’s bad right now. I only ever really go out of Terminal B & the drive up to dropoff is horrid, the food options are limited and seemingly everyone is TSA precheck because theres only 1 security line
