- For subway access, head to the DEPARTURES level on the second floor (above the baggage claim floor) to catch one of the city busses that will connect you. A MTA card is needed to get a bus ticket.Upvoted 3 days ago
- Don't wait for a cab! If at main terminal head outside and make a right and keep walking past where you think you should go - all the way to the end. Always cabs. Never a line.Upvoted 2 days ago
- Fun fact: A perimeter rule prohibits nonstop flights to or from points beyond 1,500 miles from LGA. Exceptions to the perimeter rule are flights on Saturdays and flights to Denver.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Lots of construction now so be sure to reserve extra time! Many small shops and food court with a pretty decent selection of food. Bin voyage!Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Quite the adventure getting to delta terminal C. Descend down 14 levels that rival a marble game, exchange confused glances waiting for shuttle, enjoy a 12 s bus ride, then arrive at a garage with a/c
- Adam BierJune 11, 2013Great food options in a little store near gate D1 if you want something fresh and healthy. Salads, fruit, nuts, real ginger ale (good for bumpy flights)...
- The grimy walls, the frigid drafts, the dilapidated fixtures, the disgruntled staff, the misdirecting signage: Signs that you're back at LaGuardia. NYC's way of noting that you're not all that.Upvoted Oct 19
- Karen RandsOctober 11, 2014Delta terminals now have ipads at every seat to check flights, order food and even order drinks and they deliver!
- Vivienne GucwaOctober 8, 2014You know those survival-horror video games? The ones where all humanity has been stripped from the skeletal remains of places that once were teeming with life?Terminal B is pretty much like that.
- Ronald ZijlstraAugust 7, 2022New terminal B is really nice, very spacious. Easy to get to manhattan, the Q70 bus is free of charge and brings you to Roosevelt Subway station, from there you can take the 7 line to grand Central
- Well the new Terminal B is great. New restaurants, spacious concourse with chargers and seats, big restrooms. Lounges for United and Air Canada. Great signage. From worst to first?
- Here’s what’s good: The Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A) is super cool/retro with art-deco interior and lots of history, worth checking out if you have time. Here’s what’s bad: Everything else
- Depending on the terminal you are flying it's a hit or miss experience. Recommend taking the express shuttle bus to manhattan when Uber's are expensive and the taxi lines are long.
- The M60 can be a gem. An affordable and efficient alternative to taking a taxi. I often will plan to take it to and from LGA especially when I'm traveling light.
- Best value + fastest way to get back to manhattan or bk is to take a cab to the N/Q/R station at Astoria blvd ($10, 10 minute cab) then train into city (20 mins to union square)Upvoted Oct 9
- For an am flight out of Terminal B, get there on the early side so you can grab your breakfast at Dunkin Donuts or Au Bon Pain before security, there's only one place for coffee on the other side
- Born and raised New Yorker who always avoided LGA if at all possible. Now? It’s my favorite airport. They nailed the departure drop off area flow and the inside is beautiful and inviting.
- There are multiple taxi stands. Everyone from your flight will go to the nearest one and stand in line for an hour. Be savvy and take a 5min walk to the *next* stand which will usually have no line.
- Haven't tipped in a while! But indeed, welcome to NYC. There is something to do every day here without a doubt. Not going to lure you to a website, tell you where to go, just get out there & explore!
- have always preferred LGA over JFK/EWR. a little bit closer and a little bit smaller. it's no nonsense. centurion lounge (even though it's pre-security) is a nice new addition.
- ᴡ StuekerjuergenMay 20, 2022Haven’t been here a while and wow what a difference. Great job modernizing this airport. It was well overdue.
- Delta terminals C & D are really cleaned up with good food options and iPads to use. Try mass transit into the city, Q70 express bus to Roosevelt subway stop, then E train to Times Square/42nd Street
- There are no more taxis at the far end of the terminal due to construction, only buses taking you to a taxi lot; but the uber lot is directly across the street on the 2nd floor of the parking garage
- Steven GodlewskiOctober 3, 2014Five guys burgers over in terminal b before you go through security is great. First time having one and it's in the top 3 of my fav fast food burgers now. Get it with the works
- Continued frustration on the length of time it will take for them to fix this airport. So much construction, give yourself an extra 30min just for traffic once in the airport.
- RCFebruary 16, 2015If you have your Amex Platinum you have the lounges covered here. Delta's club is great and the New Centurion Lounge in the other terminal is excellent (and has a better view).
- Crust, located in the gate C area, serves excellent breakfast options. Personal iPads are avail for use at each table. Perfect for solo dining.
- Now that Delta has renovated their terminal, it is by far the best one! Lots of food and drink options after security, plugs everywhere and free WiFi! They all need to do this (ahem UNITED)...
- If you've got an AMEX PLT card, hit the Centurion Lounge, otherwise grab a perch at the bar right before security. It's a wasteland of options after TSA.
- You could get Shake Shack burgers, coffee at Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, tacos at La Chula Taqueria, books at McNally Jackson & toys at FAO Schwarz, makeup at MAC. All in terminal B of the airport.
- Take M60 bus into Manhattan. No need for a metro card, just use apple/google pay or tap your credit card. Or the (“free”) Q70 to Jax Heights and change for F/E/R trains.
- LaGuardia Airport took the place of one of New York City's most popular theme park, Sockman Park, known for the ride that inspired "It's a Small World," "The Fantastic Orb of Nations."
- If you’re coming from the south to LGA, having a window seat on the left gives you a spectacular view of the city ❤️
- The Hellen Keller school for the blind would do a better job at security screening compared to the TSA! Leave 40min just for security line on Tuesdays for flights departing before 9a from Term D
- New construction but quick public transportation, M60 is on point!
- Make new friends with the mice running around the B terminal! But watch out for the dripping ceiling-there is always something dripping.
- If traveling on a Delta flight and deciding between the red or white wines, go for the red. Although a Merlot, the red is medium bodied and surprisingly tart. The white is barely palatable.
- Erin NolanFebruary 2, 2013Amazing selection of beer (including gluten free), wine, and premixed margaritas at the food stations!
- Talal AlMadhiAugust 11, 2016Great enhancements to the Delta's terminal. Use one of their iPad stations to play games or watch the news while waiting for your flight. Five guys is there if you're hungry. Bon appetite!
- Love the new renovations, but let’s be honest. An airport as busy as LGA will experience issues with the weather sneezes.
- If you're travelling or arriving to LGA factor 2.5x more time to get to and from the airport due to the construction work currently going on.
- Pro tip: in the mornings in terminal D, the main food court's coffee shop can have a line a mile long. There are 2 others deeper in with no line. Same coffee
- Betsy PaynterAugust 29, 2013"Empire Tavern" is conveniently located right near gates 15-24. Be warned their menu consists pretty much of cold pre-made sandwiches. If you just want a drink it doesn't get much more convenient
- Traveling with your pet? Jet Blue is easier than Delta, and slightly cheaper. But both are great, and often beat the cost of boarding, as well as the trauma.
- The Biergarten in Terminal C belts out indie jams and you can order all the sauerkraut and beer your heart desires via iPad, which is awesome because people suck.
- Bring your phone charger, and plug into the abundant outlets to access the magnificent power supply. Amazingly, there is no extra fee to do this. But don't bring an extra bag, that'll cost you.
- Clarence MasonFebruary 13, 2015Baggage claim downstairs is busy and a little tight in space. It's 11pm on a Thursday.. I'm here for All Star Weekend so that may play a role.
- The new Terminal C at LaGuardia is very nice now. Better food options too. The new Delta Sky Lounge is very nice but has a waiting line. TSA can get slow even TSA Pre and Clear so allow extra time
