- Jürgen KienerNovember 2, 2013Have a couple of hours to kill and don't have a ticket to go past security? Well, choose between free wifi (T4&5) OR a food court (T1). Both in the same place would have been too convenient, I guess.
- For best coffee locate a Shake Shack and get Stumptown bottled cold brew or classic drip.
- jetBlue's T5 is outstanding! Plus, TV and WIFI on board!
- Steven YanAugust 14, 2014Don't ever take the AirTrain and public transportation late at night. Just cab it into the city if you can afford it. Save a lot of headache.
- If you’re in terminal 8, and don’t want pizza, donuts, or a $70 steak, you’re pretty much out of options for food.

- Airtrain + subway is only $7.25 anywhere in NYC. Cabs are $45+tip flat to Manhattan ... ONLY USE AUTHORIZED CABS AT THE TAXI LINE, don't take a ride from someone who approaches you.

- The Delta terminal (terminal 4) is kind of awesome. Shake Shack at gate B20 and seats with outlets, what a concept!

- Taxi for when you're desperate but a bus from manhattan is only $16. Cheaper than $60 for a taxi. And you get to be entertained by all the crazies!

- Yellow Taxi offer current fee 52 $ (plus tax and extras ). It is true to any road from JFK to any place in Manhattan area.

- If going to terminal 8 via AirTrain: transfer at terminal 1 to go the opposite direction to save a few minutes

- Samantha TrumanMay 30, 2013Pre screen isn't applicable, be prepared to take out your laptop and off your shoes. The people running the pre screen line just sat around and talked while no one was allowed to use that lane.
- MhmtaliJune 1, 2013Airtrain it back to Manhattan if you're travelling solo. It takes an hour and it's only $7 compared to a $50 cab where you can get stuck in traffic. Just follow the signs.
- Sun country check in isn't always open, so print your boarding pass at home if you're not arriving close to your take off time.

- Things to know: it is in Queens, taxis have a flat fare to Manhattan, it's a big airport with a lot of terminals. Fly safe!
- Take your damn PJ pants off, leave your pillow at home and join adulthood.
- Get here earlier than you think. Also: taxi transfer to La Guardia Airpot is best.

- If you're looking for a bar outside of security, head straight to Terminal 1. Greenwich Village Bistro, in the food court, next to Sbarro, is your salvation.
- Amy FrainOctober 31, 2010Welcome to JFK when at the end of a hard few days shopping you can fly home after having a foot massage! Be warned though, lots of planes get damaged by birds and you get delayed or transferred!!!
- Always nice to have the option of taking the train and air tran directly to the airport. No need to pay an extravagant amount for a cab.

- David WMay 3, 2014If you are heading to terminal one, and you have time READ THE TIPS THERE! Not a great place to eat, or hang out. Eat before security. Need boarding pass stamped. Some of the airlines have hours.
- Probably one of the best run airports in the world, and the most comfortable. if you travel, take pains to do it out of here.
- Terminal 7 is relatively small, so don’t expect lots of shopping before heading to the U.K.
