VERY inconvenient AirPort in case you changing flights from local to international and especially if you have a baggage - you need to go through security when switching terminals and check in your bag
Very neat, free wifi. If you're 4 people going to stockholmcity take the taxi, it's cheaper. Fixed fare: 470SEK the ride while the train for 4 people is 480SEK.
If you need to go to city center, take buss (99SEK one way) or local train "pendeltåg" with Zone ticket (ABC ZONE for 150SEK) valid 3hr, no travel limit. You can choose longer period as well.
Buy comviq sim card (with a dog on it) at any supermarket and enjoy mobile Internet for in total 150 SEK. And your friends can call you without you paying and arm and a leg for incoming.
Duty Free store is great, airport is clean and cozy, you will probably not meet any lines, especially if you'll use self-service check-in machines. Free WiFi everywhere, but only for 3 hours.
There's a charging station with stools and tables that seat about 20 people at Terminal 5; between gates F58 and F60. Get a latte across the hall and wait for your flight.
Gate F59. There's barely 10 seats for all the passengers waiting for the flight (and lots of seating space behind closed doors). Shame on you, Arlanda!
Arlanda seems to take on an opposite layout to most. There's more shops and eateries before the security screening than the departure lounges which housed 3 stores and duty free. Stay the other side.
Nice aeroport with friendly custom ) All food service at departure level close too early, but still possible to get a cup of tasty coffee downstairs at arrival section
Beautiful views flying in and out. Make sure to check your exchange rates before you start buying stuff in the airport as it can be surprisingly expensive.
You cannot take the stroller to the gate, you have to deliver it to the special luggage section without going through the security check. They lend you a stroller if you want.
There is no SAS-Lounge in the F-Gate-Region. If you want to go back to the Lounge, they make you go through Passport-Control again which, was crammed and up for at least 30-45min wait!
EU air passenger rights mean you have the right to reimbursement, re-routing, care (e.g. food/drink/calls/accommodation) and compensation depending on your situation. Check here: http://goo.gl/ogwd0
Terminal 2 has only few eateries, coffee shops. Most open after 6 am and close early. If you are flying from T2 then eat at the city before arriving or you will be left hungry. Very few toilets too.
You can actually go by commune transport all the way in to central Stockholm. Take the bus to Märsta station, change to commune train towards Stockholm central. About an hours trip.
Small and practical. Eduroamwifi for those who have an account. Otherwise there is a free wifi for 60 min or something. The SAS lounge is nice. You should try it out.
Need a Swedish SIM card? Look out for the stores called PressByrån in arrivals/departures before screening to buy a pre-pay sim. Make sure package has surf data allowance if Internet/email required.
Appalling signage to get us between our flight from London and on to Split. In the end we found a buzzer to get a shutter opened, then down the spiral stairs to the hidden bus...
Really fast Check-In. Don’t mistake this for a small airport though. Reaching your gate may take a while. But don’t worry – you’ll find yourself entertained on your way.
Heading international from Arlanda & a smoker? As soon as you get past border control and go up the escalator, take a right. You’ll see the SAS Lounge AND a 6 person smoking booth. You’re welcome.
Well this airport has two sides one that is a bit older and needs renovations, but the newer one is breathtaking with designer stores, modern design, and restaurants.
