- Contrary to previous reviews, Arlanda Express is NOT the cheapest way to town. Flygbussarna or pendeltåg (Sky City) is cheaper. Or for rock bottom: buy SL card from Pressbyrån, bus to Märsta + pendel!Upvoted 3 days ago
- Tore NjåOctober 17, 2016If you grab a taxi to Stockholm make sure you choose the right one. There are 4-5 rows of different taxi companies outside and there is a 200 SEK difference! Taxi Kurir is ok with 470 as fixed price.Upvoted Oct 19
- Arlanda Express is the absolute best way to get to Stockholm. Convenient, fast, and clean. I wish more airports had a proper direct rail link to the city center!Upvoted Oct 6
- ℳ𝒶𝓎♍June 18, 2015Light, bright and breezy. Unlike other european airports they don't suffer the relenting security checks, common sense prevails! And the swedes are service minded & friendly, you'll only feel welcome
- Anton MavrinJanuary 8, 2018The cheapest way to get to city center is by bus 583, than change in Märsta to pendeltäg 42x, 40, 41
- TAP’s check-in only opens 2 hours before the flights. If you arrive too early, go look around and spend some time at a bar before security. There’s one right beside TAP’s counter. Take the escalators.
- I am somehow used to this airport that I am familiar with those working in the shops. Friendly staffs, security check might get crowded at times; good food and drink places inside included smoking box
- The White HouseSeptember 7, 2013President Obama and Foreign Minister Carl Bildt of Sweden took part in an official arrival ceremony at Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport. Read more
- LufthansaNovember 6, 2012"Under the Bridges" is a sightseeing tour of Stockholm by boat. It takes you around the new and old neighborhoods, giving a good overview of the city which should really be seen from the water once.
- Jonny DavenportMarch 18, 2014Lots of cool Swedish interior design shops and the seats at the gates are actually comfortable. I wouldn't be leaving a tip unless I was genuinely impressed. Nice one, ARN.
- bluestormAugust 27, 2014If you are a student or under 25 take the Arlanda Express. You get a huge discount and it's much faster and better than the bus!
- LufthansaDecember 12, 2012Visit the oldest and biggest open-air museum of the world: The Skansen on the island Djurgården. This great museum also houses Stockholm's zoo as well as really nice restaurants and cafes. Ha så kul!
- Having a valid SL card you can make the trip to the city without extra charge - in the day take the 583 to Märsta and then the train into Stockholm. In the night take bus 593 straight into town.
- Deep GujralAugust 26, 2014Take the flygbussarna from airport into the city. It's about $20 USD per person, and the bus includes free wifi. This is about $20 cheaper than the train and about 15 minutes longer trip.
- Clarion Hotel near sky city has A really nice restaurant on 12th floor with views over the airport. Great for planespottinh and really good food.Upvoted Sep 23
- Really nice airport! It has everything.. Lots of great food and shops. There is a hotel placed inside as well, which is perfect if you have an early flight!
- Filipe RibeiroMay 14, 2014If you going to be here for a few days, buy the SL pass ticket for transport!! And definitely if on summer do not miss to take a boat trip to north of Stockholm it's perfect!!!!!!
- Cori CarlDecember 6, 2015At terminal 5 gates 17-20, 24? Go upstairs to the observation deck for more plugs and better seating. Maybe you'll be there on a clear day and have a view, too.
- If you arrive late you can get to the last two commuter trains (dep at 00:13 and 00:43) for free. Ticketdesk is empty and the turnstiles are open at that time.
- A SDecember 14, 2018Nice airport with good vibes. BUT needs to improve signage to be clearer throughout the airport. I completely missed simple things like Car Rental Returns (off airport) and SAS Lounge.
- If you want clean, healthy food, the SAS business lounge isn't an option. Great for snacks and sandwiches and alcohol but not for eating.
- Wilson Favre-DelerueJuly 22, 2019While the retail and F&B are mostly good across terminals, the crowds, security lines and cleanliness aren’t. Pray for a day with few(er) people or you’ll pay for it.
- 4th July 2022 - extreme long waiting Q's, make sure to check what you are queuing for when entering terminal 5. SAS is at the way end of the terminal and charters/Norwegian/Eurowings in the beginning.
- The SAS/Star Alliance lounge is actually two. Choose the left one for a (slightly) better food assortment or the right one for the booze.
- Beware of SAS queues whose aim is unclear. Plus SAS staff doesn't allways have or give the right information
- Jim BaileyDecember 11, 2015Nice airport, laid out well with everything easy to find. Nice shops and plenty of eating opportunities. Not a bad place for a layover.
- Sigbjørn DOctober 19, 2019Easygoing airport, but keep in mind that you can't buy alcohol from the duty free if you're traveling to another EU country. Good connections to the center of town with the express train.
- SnowRipper1106 WSeptember 9, 2013Arlanda seems to take on an opposite layout to most. There's more shops and eateries before the security screening than the departure lounges which housed 3 stores and duty free. Stay the other side.
- David BarnettMarch 9, 2015Nice clean airport. Very few places to eat. I was pretty surprised from such a lovely place. Great place for kids to play.
- Abdalla Nasir ALNuaimiAugust 25, 2019FYI .. Most of the shops in Stockholm not accepting cash “just cards”
- Damon WilsonOctober 4, 2013Love this airport: you can work out at a SATS gym at the Radisson in Sky City, shower, shave, and grab a protein shake at the nearby Juice Bar. Best way to beat jet-lag!
- Well organized airport. Clean wc. free wi-fi, free drinkable water. There is baby stroller available after you gave yours at the check-in. Also luggage delivery is very quick.
- Michael CampanellaMay 28, 2016Great airport. Clean and easy to navigate. Well connected to the city with trains and buses.
- Tom YatesJune 25, 2016If you're a lone traveller, if you team up with 1, 2 or 3 people for the Arlanda Express at weekends you will make huge savings - for example 300kr for 2 tickets instead of 280kr for 1 :-).
- WanderlustJune 13, 2022Extremely crowded for departure. Make sure you have enough time and buy fast pass!!
- Fastest way to reach city center is via train. If you are not in a rush, the bus (flygbus) is the value for money option. Free wifi
- Alf LandeJune 24, 2013Stockholm is a wonderful city but Arlanda is not a wonderful airport. It' needs a fresh up and Terminal 5 is often to crowded. Hard to get a coffee when you have 10 min to spare.
- The Arlanda Express is a fantastic innovation and great service. This is the best way to go to and from Arlanda Airport to Stockholm City. Some funky tunnels too.
- Free & extremely fast wifi for all eduroam account owners everywhere inside the airport! If u need to spend some hours quietly prefer skycity terminal!
- If you travel with kids and plan on checking in your stroller, you can borrow one from the airport by the special baggage drop area in Terminal 5 and return it at the boarding gate.
- Jack SmithFebruary 9, 2015All terminals are within walking distance from each other. Don't waste time and money taking trains between stations.
- Stan OlmosAugust 4, 2015This airport is one the more organized, clean, easy airports to get around in. Love it, thank u Sweden for the lovely stay.
- BenNovember 10, 2016Very Nice airport. Self checkin even for checked luggage. Many shops and restaurants inside
- Robin HwangApril 29, 2016Be sure to get tax back when shopping! Global blue tax refund is next to information in T5. For premier tax, go to customs at arrivals hall and post envelope or go to Aviator counter for cash refund.
- IinaJune 11, 2014Nice gym and outdoor pool in the Clarion hotel. Costs only 50 Swedish crowns/visit (towels included). Nice way to spend the extra time at the airport.
- funky flavorSeptember 12, 2016So far I had a pleasant experience in the airport. Well organized and even not speaking the language I was able to get to the transportation with no problems.
- F pier is the newest part of Terminal 5. Very nice. Also the refurbished Terminal 2 and lounge is really nice. You'll find a Starbucks in T2 and T5.
- Andreas KanakisFebruary 22, 2015It's a good and efficient airport, nice to find Joe and the Juice with its loud music in the middle of a hall. Talks good about their flexibility.
