Bradley terminal. If you have time, Dodge double security lines to see amazing lounges.
Get here early and don't piss off TSA. They're famous for making it take extra long to check your things and private screenings so long that you miss your flight.

The only thing "good" about LAX is the location, but the traffic is horrible, the wait times on or off the plane are much longer than other airports. Light rail and expansion are decades overdue.
Do not get sidelined by the timeshare people trying to “help” you. Head all the way outside for shuttles and taxis.
Demeter InteractiveJune 13, 2012If you're flying out of Terminal 1 but want to say goodbye or have breakfast before passing thru security, it's a 2 minute walk to the secret @Starbucks in the baggage claim area of Terminal 2.
The Admirals club in the AA terminal rocks - just be sure to not miss your flight :)- Delta Sky Club has views , good food & great people watching!!
This has gone from being one of the worst airports to one of the better ones at least the international terminal. Smart partnership with Westfield mall for a great retail experience. I'll be back.
This airport is busy 24/7. Always allow yourself extra time going through TSA and getting to your designated gate.
Kate BoykoApril 29, 2016I expected more. Very few food places and shops in domestic area. Plus, if you have an international transfer flight with a stop here - you would have to go out, pick your bags and change terminals.
Ignore the haters, this is the best airport EVAR! LAX is the melting pot of the world... National airlines of countries you didn't even know exist!

Dëva HolikOctober 27, 2014Parking can be a pain. Valet is off site. Most terminals need updating. International terminal is almost complete and delta has had a make over. American is working on theirs.
Everyone is hating. Nothing better than first class LA-NYC on American. The best airline food (amazingly) full bar, full beds. Cured my fear of flying!
The 10:30 PM red eye to NYC from LAX is always full, make sure you travel light.
Make sure to arrive at least 1 and a half hours early to get through security.

If you have an early flight and you rented a car while visiting LA/SoCal, do not return it early in the hopes of sleeping at the airport. Gates and TSA are closed until 4:30am. Sleep in your rental!

Stephanie NordstromSeptember 30, 2011Don't arrive at the airport too early. It doesn't open till 4am and if you are cutting it close on time, most airlines will help you get through security so you don't miss your flight.
For Terminal 4-American Airlines First Class/EXP check in, drop off is the door closest to the International Terminal (or by Qantas check-in area). This is to avoid having to fight the crowd inside T4

Don't hold up the security line - if you're wearing complicated shoes, there are tons of benches right after security where you can do them up

Charles HoffmeyerFebruary 22, 2017It was a nightmare getting in/out of here. Rental cars are offsite via shuttles. Long walk between terminals via hot underground tunnels. Hope I never have to come into LAX again!
If you're departing during the busy holiday season, drop off at Arrivals and take the escalator up.
Once you leave the secure area it's a ghost town by baggage claim. No stores, not even a vending machine. Lovely how they unload all priority tagged bags last.

Charge your batteries... you'll find Jimmy Hoffa before you'll find an outlet. Random power towers that are awkward and miserable to share.
