It's an international airport in London. The flight tickets is a bit cheaper than Heathrow airport even if it's the same destination .

Good at departures! Awful at arrivals - expect to be bussed from your plane, spend 20 minutes on travelators and shuttles to get to the under served, weekend closure hit, train station
Gatwick South is a pretty nice airport, fast and relaxed security and not overcrowded.

Adrián NavarroMarch 13, 2012Not really a beautiful airport, but the most practical for London after LHR's new terminal. Use Southern trains with travelcard 1-6 + rail extension (<15 pounds for tube, bus + travel to Victoria).
I've never been able to figure out logistics to get to and from... sneaks end up taking a taxi which turns out expensive.

Sometimes long queues to go through security but after that, very good shopping and dining.
