- bact'September 23, 2014Money exchange rate here is BAD. If you have debit/ATM card, you get better rate from cash machine in the city, looking for "Free Cash Withdrawal" sign. All train/bus ticket machines accept cards too.
- Eat a s*itty toast at Jamie's Coffee and pay an amount like you had a full breakfast. Magic.
- Speed, efficiency, safety seem to be the priorities here. Well run.
- Not half bad considering London's airports reputations! The only issues with LGW is its distance from the city (1h30+ drive at peak hours) and the throngs of people at check-in and security.

- Münzevî AbApril 14, 2014If you are boarding at gate number 47-49, you need to make at least 15 mins walk to reach to the point. So , make sure you have extra time for it.
- I love easyJet’s self-service bag drop. We didn’t wait even 5 minutes. Super quick!
- I am not a big fan of this airport. The layout is very inconvenient where you have to take a bus to go to the terminal. Afterwards, you need to go through security again if it is a connecting flight.

- The £9 fixed rate cab fare from the Ramada Plaza Gatwick is great. Handy place to stay for early morning flights!

- StarlinSeptember 3, 2017Traffic connection is good via Thameslink to St Pancras railway station. :) Remember buy return tickets to avoid long quote.
- Better than Heathrow for just getting to/from London. Good connections by train to London. You might save some money by taking the train to London Bridge instead of the Gatwick Express to Victoria.

- Social MediaSeptember 26, 2012If travelling to Reigate area, ring Bexleyheath taxis. Very friendly and only about £10 there - half the price of South Terminal airport taxis.
- Very large airport with good variety of shops. However on the International passport control you will have to queue for 15-20 minutes upon arrival.
- The upstairs bit outside Eat in the North terminal is great for wiling away the wait and doing some people watching.
- Allow 15 min to get to gates 100+ there's a coffee shop and newsagent there so don't rush to drink your coffee in main area Get it at the gates
- http://m.gatwickairport.com is handy mobile site serving its purpose rightfully.. I wish it could tell me of my gate number as well though
- New airport. Now it's incredibly harder get to Departures from the drop off point. It's level 2 (although the signs on the lift don't say so) and then follow the signs up and down for 20 minutes...

- Officially the worst free wifi sign-up and sign-in process in the world... You have to verify your email address to connect but to verify your email you need Internet.
