- Probably the best train station in the world. I am biased though.
- It blows mind everytime I look up to the ceiling, and I come here almost everyday.
- The ticket vending bay on the western side of the main hall tends to be less crowded than the eastern/more central one that's closer to the subway entrance.
- Campbell Apartment is a great place to go if you're visiting for the ambiance, energy & history. It's a great space seen in TV shows and etc.
- Sean MillerMarch 10, 2011If you have some extra time, and you like cupcakes, don't go to Magnolia. Go to Lily O'Brien's on 40th btw 5th & 6th for the best cupcakes in NYC (made by the Robicellis). It's worth the (short) hike.
- Stribling & AssociatesFebruary 16, 2012The "Whispering Gallery" is located near the famous Oyster Bar. If you and a friend stand in separate corners, the acoustics of the low ceramic arches make a whisper sound like a shout!
- Stand near the Apple Store steps on the east side of the Main Concourse for free WiFi, but Apple will censor what you can browse, including some pretty mild stuff, like CollegeHumor.com.
- "Meet me at the clock" is both an incredibly romantic movie line and an incredibly easy way to meet someone in GCT.

- Grand Central Terminal used to be twenty feet lower, but the addition of a new subway line in the 60's forced the city to raise the entire structure. That's why the front door is on the second floor.

- Look up at the ceiling. A dichotomy between the vastness and space of the ceiling and standing in a massive ocean of people.
- The archway on the ramp between ground floor and free first basement forms a natural acoustic effect. Stand on one corner and have your friend stand in the other then whisper to each other.

- Best DelegateSeptember 6, 2011Downstairs hosts a food court with a variety of options and public restrooms. Seating can be hard to find during the lunch hour, so have your delegates stake out a few tables
- There is a board taken from after 9/11 with posters of missing loved ones in Vanderbilt Hall for the Grand Central 100 years exhibit. Very moving.
- Like walking around in a piece of history. Beautiful. Be sure to look up and see the constellations.
- Impressive as it is, GCT is small compared to the original Penn Station, the grandest train station ever built, destroyed by developers in the 60's. Thank Jackie O & civic minded NYers for saving GCT!
