If you have some extra time, and you like cupcakes, don't go to Magnolia. Go to Lily O'Brien's on 40th btw 5th & 6th for the best cupcakes in NYC (made by the Robicellis). It's worth the (short) hike.

The "Whispering Gallery" is located near the famous Oyster Bar. If you and a friend stand in separate corners, the acoustics of the low ceramic arches make a whisper sound like a shout!

Stand near the Apple Store steps on the east side of the Main Concourse for free WiFi, but Apple will censor what you can browse, including some pretty mild stuff, like CollegeHumor.com.

Grand Central Terminal used to be twenty feet lower, but the addition of a new subway line in the 60's forced the city to raise the entire structure. That's why the front door is on the second floor.
