If you need a luggage cart. Go out to passenger pick up and grab one left behind. Save yourself $3.

Dulles is far from DC - cabs are stupid expensive. Try the bus, Metro, and/or Washington Flyer. Way cheaper.

the california tortilla in term c has fantastic breakfast burritos. try the southwest style!
If you are going to C20 or higher, it may be faster to take the people mover to terminal D and walk over to Terminal C .
The 5A bus to D.C. from IAD starts running an hour earlier than the Washington Flyer on weekends. And is cheaper.
Avoid the new train. Takes easily twice as long as the moving lounges through D. iAd is blowing it!
Take the Washington Flyer bus to West Falls Church Metro. 20 mins, $10 one-way/$18 rt. Leaves 2x/hr from between doors 3 and 4 at baggage claim.

Get a combo massage at the massage bar near gate B67. 25 minute massage for 39.50.
Great airport. Show up early and plan your arrival around traffic.
Flying out of Terminal C? Be sure to give yourself an extra 2 hours for the walk between the train & gates.
Worst thing is having to take a train to the gates AFTER you go through security... never seen anywhere. Even premier access security lines are long. A1 to A5 take forever to reach.. and 4 escalators
DO NOT request an uber for a short trip. The ubers need to wait four hours and they will cancel your requests.
I still like the people mover! I feel as though I have to walk a country mile when taking the train.
Beware gates 6A. There are six of them A-D but only two entrances labeled 1 and 2. And no where that lists the destination!
There is a dunkin donuts after security. Follow the signs toward D gate and you will see it after the escalator. Then backtrack to train. Its really not very far.
Did not see duty free shops, just cafes, food stuffs, books
Absolutely the worst airport in terms of assistance for the disabled. Planes load on the tarmac & even though your tickets say, days in advance, that there needs to be a ramp & not stairs, no ramp!
