They have a lot of stores but they are all similar to each other. There is no creativity. Almost 10 restaurants and cafe. Free WI-FI covered the whole area
Cleanrestrooms, restaurants/coffee shops, lounges, train system, shopping .. etc basically all what you need as a traveler in an airport, you'll find it in IAD airport! 👌
This could be a great airport if they would get the 5th runway built, replace the “temporary” terminals C&D with Permanent, modern facilities, complete the train
Too many check points and police controls. Main terminal is designed very beatiful, a modern concrete structure. One of the best examples of design with concrete in wide span.
Signup for Clear as you’ll never wait in line at security turning this into one of the nicest and easiest airports and if flying delta get the breakfast at five guys only available in the airport!
Very good classic airport, maybe limited restaurants choices, few coffee shops, will be boring if not staying in Business Lounge, easy to follow signs & cleantoilets
The cheaper buses towards D.C. (Metro 5A to the Rosslyn Metro station and then L'Enfant Plaza, Fairfax Connector 981 and 983 to the Wiehle Avenue/Reston Metro) are at curb 2E on the arrivals level.
Don’t under estimate the huge and straight long airport that you really need plenty of time to walk to your departure gate, you don’t want to miss or rush to catch for a flight.

For international arrivals plan on 60-90 minutes to ride train or shuttle to main terminal and get through customs. Add another 30 to get to your car in the economy parking lot. Welcome to the USA!
Concourse B is a hidden gem for long layovers. There are some great restaurants/fast-food spots (like Wendy’s), and international lounges you can access with status.
Crazy long line for the Airporttaxis. Booked a ride with @taximagic, and the cab was waiting at United departures (door 4) by the time I arrived there (from Wash Flyer line to upper level door 4)
If you are into sneakers or streetwear, make sure you check out MAJOR in Georgetown area. One of the world's top sneakerboutiques & right here in DC. www.majordc.com #NikeSportswear #Converse #Jordan
Great American BagelBakerybreakfast bagel sandwiches are surprisingly good and not a complete rip-off, two bagel, egg and cheeses plus 1 oj to split = less than $13 bucks, not bad for high quality
Great parking and transportation service to and from the airport and definitely more easy to get to from Maryland highway versus other Washington areas airports.
So Clear now has an UP & Downstairs entry point. Be sure to check if your significant other has PRECheck & Clear before going to the upstairs location! Downstairs is CLEAR ONLY
You know there are two DAY public parking at Dulles right? One is more expensive than the other because it is supposedly nearer. From my experience, it does not matter. The shuttle is very fast.
Pray that you are in the B gate. There is a five guys here! Head to ~B71...you can also wash those burgers down w/ $4 margaritas at chipotle! (~B63)..it's a fast food explosion, and it's epic
If you have more than 10 minutes before a 5A or Flyer bus arrives (likely with their woeful headways), detour upstairs to appreciate Eero Saarinen's beautiful, soaring ceiling while you wait.
You can park at one of the nearby hotels rather than airport's longterm parking for a much cheaper price. (You don't have to have stayed at the hotel to do this either). Shuttles included in price.
As of March 2012, DC's two airports (DCA and IAD) are the only two places where you can try the breakfast menu at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It's worth traveling to another terminal for.
Booking a hotel? Quoted rates do not include Washington DC's substantial hotel tax of 14.5%. For example, a quoted room rate of $139, will actually cost $159 for a nights stay. -- Green Guides Editor
Highly efficient system and design that allows for smooth flow of transportation vehicles and passenger movement. Great choices of places to eat and shop at the gates.
