The airport is nice with appropriate facilities, however I have seen much better that this one. Nothing to die for. Oh! Did I mention that you need a jacket because you may die from freezing???
nice place but if you're on flight transfer and it's peak hour (morning) just chill cause the custom officers will definitely help you go through the custom fast
Connect to the free WiFi and use mobile website to get gate number, long before it appears on information displays, which only have two pages and only show flights about 90mins before.
One of the most confusing airports I have been through. Coach express drop off at "Arrivals", counter check-in and baggage drop off in T3, and flight gate in T1!!
Use the toilet facilities on the Flight over and your time spent here will be smooth. Interesting how fast food is fast food, McDonalds still can get you through till the next stop.
You think it's warm in Abu Dhabi? Well, outside the temperature can be 40° C and more, but inside the airport it's really cold due to air conditioning. So don't forget a sweater to avoid freezing.
Good airport but not great. Small for international/transit airport but cozy enough. You can buy at dfs with USD. Not really much food choice. There was bathroom on terminal 3. Very clean and safe
If you are wearing contact lenses, make sure that you bring the lens liquid in 100ml bottle. It's not allowed during checkin if it's more than 100ml. #abudhabitousa #checkin
After passing the customs, it feels like your walking in to the red carpet when the sliding door opens, lots of people waiting with placards and looks like they are waiting for your autograph :p
Departure information boards shows old information and flights up to an hour after the present time you arrive. Ask the staff for your information for your flight and they will guide you.
AirPort is quite small. Fairly good food You can find in Al Reem Lounge. For longer stay better sleeping options offer Al Ghazal (T2- additional transport needed), but food is far from perfection.
Nice cleanairport. Gets a bit hectic when a few planes land together through immigration but the Authorities do thier best and they seem like pleasant ppl to.
If you are stopping here, there is high chance you are using Etihad airways. There is high chance your flight will be delayed. BE ALERTED, BE VERY ALERTED!
Deserts are approx 25-35 dirhams regardless of where you are buying. Indian food is 40 - ish per dish. Pizza slice is 25 riyals. Burger King is the cheapest
This airport is chaotic. Be prepared for long walks ( unless you are very lucky). And the Etihad Business lounge is a power outletdesert, if you wish to use your laptop.
Thanks everyone for your comments , all comments are most welcome and if there any suggestions it will be good thing. (Ali from quality department of Abu Dhabi airport)
Fairly compact though like everywhere else in the region there are big expansion plans. Two winning features - free wifi and kids buggies to borrow at the gate until you can pick yours up
The airport is small..till they open the new one. However you can find lots of brands here. As for food there is not very much variety on options but you can find different kinds for most tastes.
To find toilets you need to enter gates, once u find them they are tiny little places often packed with people. Not a good service for such a big airport, very disappointing.
One of the most organizedairports in the world. A better place to stop versus Dubai DXB due to more traffic in Dubai. Very relaxing and more of a family atmosphere. Etihad Airways is the best !
While the terminal 3 is good, Terminal 1 is over crowded. And I dont get this point of having to check in at T3 and walk to T1 (around 15 minutes) for boarding. There is free Wi-Fi all around.
