Great food downstairs. Fun and fancy cocktailsupstairs. Great service. My beef stew was a little salty and the awesome bartender took it off the bill without me saying a thing. Pot pies are yummy
Fantastic. Grab drinks downstairs or wait for a table upstairs if you want to order some good food. The chips & dips is great (fries) and so are the zucchinifritters. Excellent cocktails.
Great place with excelent food and awesome cocktails. There are 3 floors with distinct environments so you can go there for parties or even for a date.
$1 oyster happy hour, amazing classic cocktail menu. love that this opened in the neighborhood! if you want to avoid the boring corporate crowd that packs the downstairs head to the parlor upstairs...
Think the menu is cool? You can buy one... $50, but worth it if you're a cocktail fan, New York history fan, or are interested in the history of the Dead Rabbit Gang/have seen Gangs Of New York.
Expertly done old fashionedcocktails for a super reasonable price in FiDi. Peering outside the bar from within on sunny days is mesmerizing and the staff make you feel completely at home. Love it.
What's not good here? I always go for a drink with Chartreuse because it's a difficult ingredient. but these people know what they're doing! sit at the barupstairs and watch their magic!
Taproom's fine, but the main event is upstairs. Cocktails are delicious and have incredible depth. Don't worry about ordering something w/an intimidating spirit. Hit & Run's amazing!!
This multi-level Gangs Of New York-era'd tap room, parlor, and grocery brought over one of the UK's top talents to tend a tome-like menu. It's been raking in Best of the Year awards ever since.
Go for the unusual drink vessels here which include, flagons, glasses and bowls. Order the G.M. Gurton's which is a mix of oloroso sherry, Cognac, Jamaican rum, and muscovado sugar.
The Dead Rabbit has the most epic cocktail menu in existence. The walls are lined with tinctures, syrups and Irish whiskey, and the bartenders are some of the best in the world. Read more
Excellent bar. Three floors with different styles - first floor: bar style (always open late), second floor: cocktail bar with the cool Dead Rabbitcomic book menu, third floor: bar with food.
Everything about this place is wonderful. Food, drinks, history, decor, atmosphere, staff.... Best cocktail bar I've ever had the pleasure of being in. I loved it!
Some of the most delicious whiskey drinks in town! Insider tip: be sure to wait for an upstairs table, enjoy perusing the "book of cocktails" while sipping on some complementary punch!
I wouldn't say the best bar in America, but it's a great spot. Solid beer selection and the cocktails are on point. Check out $15 meat pie and an ale on Tuesdays.
In a redbrick three-story landmark, Belfast bar vets have conjured up a rough-and-tumble 19th-century tavern with a refined cocktail parlor upstairs. Read more
It can often be too crowded due to it's lonely status in the FiDi, but The Dead Rabbit has an impressive book of inventive cocktails, expertly crafted drinks, and a solid food menu to match.
Excellent choice for a date that you feel like you might need that option of spending extensive time reading the cocktail menu. Because the menu literally is a book.
Bar food downstairs is amazing. Cocktailsupstairs are great. Don't be put off if there's a long wait time for a table - it's almost never as long as they expect.
Always been the best bar... but now with so many accolades, it is unbelievably crowded and not as enjoyable as previous visits:( 45 min wait for the cocktail barupstairs!!
this place is amazingly friendly with even more amazing drinks. the ale flip, cider no. 4 and whiskey daisy are amazing. a piano player and the servers will sing a great tune if you're lucky!~
Irish tavern with separate cocktail den upstairs. Great drinks, arranged by characteristics (fiery, fresh, ambitious etc). Great ambiance too - mid-1800s vibe.
Head upstairs for the civilized sips. It's run by one of the worlds best bartenders (no exaggeration) and well worth the wait downstairs, amongst the sea of suits.
cocktail menu is inspired by some 70 drinks you might have knocked back in the 19th century -"hot and cold communal punches, bishops, flips, possets and nogs, cups and cobblers, sours, fixes, daisies
Cool ambiance, loved the book of drinks/prohibition they give you. Drinks are great if you're a whisky guy/gal otherwise may not be the place for you. Friendlier service could have made the experience
If you are into stirred aromatic cocktails, order the Gladstone with rye, aquavit, Marie Brizard Parfait Amour, absinthe, gum Arabic, Dead Rabbit Orinoco bitters, mace tincture.
The food and cocktails here are superb. However the crowd and location aren't ideal. But it's probably the best in the neighborhood. I had a fantastic evening here.
I'm sure it's great based on reputation but the people who work here think they have become world beaters. Which is sad as the cosines is what probably made this place so incredible in the first place
I love this place! Definitely go to the parlor space upstairs and get a seat at the bar next to the piano. Drink punch out of tea cups & absinthe to your heart's content.
The bartenders at the Dead Rabbit know what they're doing when it comes to drinks and mixing cocktails. There's something here for everyone between their fruitycocktails and fine selection of whisky.
Everything great! Nice menu, great cocktails, fast service, but they keep u the credit card until you leave which is uncomfortable and maybe rather unusual?
Opt to sit in the upstairs Parlor for a chance to try a drink from their extensive cocktail menu and order several bites, such as the Fries or Chicken Pot Pie, as well.
Yes the cocktails are amazing, however you need a lot of patience to go here as it gets very crowded and seating is very limited which makes it a challenge to enjoy your cocktail.
