Dale keeps it real. Pad Thai is off the chains and the mustard that comes with the dumplings belongs in a bottle on every table everywhere. Great beer selection to boot. Winner.
Asian fusion may get a bad rap, but Talde is here to remind us that it’s stupidly fun to consume. When would you not be excited to eat pretzel pork dumplings? Or bacon pad thai?
The menu might first seem heavy on meat but talk to the waiter and he'll get you a bunch of veggie options. Hawaiian bread buns and guacamole are the best, pad thai could use less sauce but still good
Fantastic brunch offerings include sausage egg and cheese fried rice, corn cakes and tots. As beautiful as the lobster bao looks, it's bland and the sauce is plasticky.
Wish I didn't go there after a heavy late lunch. Ordered the Branzino cooked in banana leaves and it was delicious! Totally worth the wait for our table.
It ain't cheap, but everything is delicious. Plus, they have Hitochino Nest Red Rice Ale on tap. Stop in, and don't be put off by the wait for a table.
Warm up with the Frank's-sauced Pad Thai that'll pad your midsection with its crispy oysters and bacon. Then cool off with a shaved ice sundae topped with Cap'n Crunch. Read more
The wonton soup is winter perfection, exactly what it should be. Pretzel/pork dumplings are overrated, but the Hawaiian buns are NOT. They're the Don't Miss menu items here. Ditto the pork shoulder!
I would have licked the salad dressing off the plate of my kale salad. It was that good. The bacon pad Thai was delicious but the oysters were under seasoned in my opinion.
Sausage egg&cheese fried rice and breakfast ramen every time, korean fried chicken&waffles was underwhelming.Tater tots were good but thats just barely better than saying the water was good
Amazing food, so get there early. The Perilla Leaf and the Lobster Tom Kha Gai will change your world. Wash it down with a pitcher of punch for the table.
“Top Chef” and Buddakan alum Dale Talde opens his own Asian-American with a “chef’s table”-style counter with views into the kitchen. Try: his signature crispy-oyster bacon pad Thai.
Gotta go here for brunch - owner and chef, Dale Talde, used to work at Morimoto NYC, then was head chef at Buddakan NYC, went on Top Chef, then opened this restaurant in BK
Very impressed by the wings. Pretzel dumplings are disappointing. Dan dan noodles are good but have a heavy amount of meat, so try something else if you're just looking for a noodle dish.
