Dale Talde breathes new life into the pan-Asian genre at this unabashedly fun Park Slope restaurant. Head here with a few friends and try a lot of things to share. [Eater 38 Member]
Go with the pretzel dumplings, the wingys and the bacon fried oyster pad thai. You might as well throw on your diaper because you will make a mess of your underwear when this place makes you foodgasm
Brunch menu blew our minds!Recommended to share - we had some of everything. You must get the Kung Pow chicken wings & waffles!! Breakfast Ramen was good as a side but glad it wasn’t my main.
Try the Korean Fried Chicken, noteworthy for its juicy meat and seasoned skin. It arrives sliced and sitting in a puddle of spicy kimchi yogurt, with pickled grapes and mint leaves strewn about. Read more
the pretzel & pork dumplings, oyster & bacon pad thai and fried chicken w/grapes were the standouts. great vibe, great bar selection and most seats come with a view of Dale slaying it behind the line.
This Pan-Asian eatery debuts their Thanksgiving ramen. Bowl comes with slices of roasted turkey, roulade, dumplings filled with creamed spinach, tart pickled cranberries, and a mushroom-soy gravy. Read more
The best thing on the menu is the Korean-style fried chicken. The skin is crisp, the meat is super moist and juicy, and the whole thing arrives in a pool of spicy kimchi yogurt. Read more
Just really good. Inventive & yummy pan-Asian dishes, from Chef Dale of Top Chef fame. Wings, beef kare noodles, kale salad for dins. Breakfast ramen, sausage, egg & cheese fried rice for brunch. YUM.
The Filipino pork brunch dish is an elevated but authentic take on tosilog. As a Filipino American, it may be the best tosilog I've ever had. I highly recommend it.
Should be #1 in park slope. Great service, drinks & exciting innovative menu. Kung Pao wings are amazing and suggest over ordering and sharing. Korean fried chicken is a must & daily ramen special.
So many great options: pretzel pork dumplings, kung pao wings, and the bacon oyster Pad Thai are our go-to's. For a drink try the BBQ negroni for a smoky variation on a classic.
If you go for brunch, get the pork and pretzels dumplings and the sausage and cheese fried rice for sure! And if you're not too hungover and can handle the noise, sit in the back by the open kitchen.
The short menu is full of surprising tastes and texture. The place will for sure get a michelin star soon. Don't miss conversing with ultra intellectual waiters on Marx, Foucault, Kant and Food...
A smattering of chopped peanuts, cilantro, and sliced scallions adds texture to the sticky wings. Instead of typical blue cheese dressing, Talde serves a rich buttermilk ranch dressing. Read more
The Korean fried chicken and waffle is a standout. It's not so Korean but every bite of chicken, waffle and syrup hits every taste bud in perfect unison.
Pad thai, fried chicken, Hawaiian buns and chow fun are amazing! The sangria pitcher is bullshit regarding serving size. Brooklyn sling yum. Overall, one of the best meals I had in NY thus far!
Fantastic lobster tom kha! The guacamole is outta this world! The 'chips' come as a crispy sushi roll with the guac on top! Delicious! (And get the miso salmon, it's amazing!)
Dale Talde's wacky pan-Asian restaurant nails pretty much every dish on the menu, from "Kung Pao chicken wings" to more sophisticated dishes, like a banana leaf-wrapped whole branzino.
Yes, the pretzel pork and chive dumplings at this Asian-American spot are far from traditional, but the crispy, salty dough and the accompanying spicy mustard make for an addictive combination. Read more
Bacon pad thai was okay, I was hardly able to find any bacon! Crab fried rice was delicious, except it was not a ”side” portion, it was entree size. Get the chinese fried chicken wings. So goood..
A rotating list of seasonal toppings including spiced peanuts and Campari-soaked grapefruit rinds make their chocolate pudding a dessert worth leaving room for.
Fantastic. Must haves include: pretzel pork dumplings, oyster pad Thai & whole branzino. Sat at the chefs table & was extremely impressed. Casual neighborhood vibe with extremely flavorful food.
The food is unabashedly spicy in a manner usually reserved for joints on First Avenue or off of Canal Street. Excellent. Start with the pork and pretzel dumplings.
OK, it isn’t the fried chicken you’d order down South, but these Kung Pao fried chicken wings by Top Chef alum Dale Talde really pack a punch. (Just make sure to order a giant glass of water.) Read more
All of their meals are worthwhile, but brunch with a group of adventurous eaters who like to share is fantastic and very unique. Korean fried chicken and waddles!
Fans of "Asian fusion" may enjoy dishes at Talde, such as the pretzel dumplings and bacon and oyster pad thai. For the most part, dishes are low in flavor and high in price point.
What everyone is saying about their Korean friend chicken is really western person friend chicken with Asian sauce. You can't tell the difference and they know it.
Great service always. Know the standards? Ok. Now try: Soba noodles. Tom kha soup. Whole fish. Surprising perilla leaf bite. Short rib it worth for the cauliflower. Trust them. They'll do you right
Food is great with a solid beer, wine and cocktail selection. Try the pad thai and fried chicken. Watermelon Margarita is awesome - the salted fresh watermelon slice is not garnish - eat it!
I love family style meals. Definitely try the oyster pad Thai and the sticky rice. Great place to dine with a date or friends. FYI this place is by a Top Chef contender Dale Talde :)
Start at the bar; let John Bush take care of you. Pretzel Dumplings, Kale Salad, Spare Ribs, Fried Chicken, Pad Thai, and any special. Halo-Halo. End the way you started: at the bar for a nightcap.
Start with perilla leaves! Wontons in soup were delicious. Entrees were mostly salty. Would've been nice to have plain rice option. Though the shrimp fried rice great. End with his awesome 5G cookie!
If the Filipino halo-halo dessert is on the menu, you're in for a sugar rush: it's shaved ice with sweetened condensed milk, coconut, tapioca, seasonal fruit, and Cap'n Crunch. Read more
The staff is very friendly and accommodating to families with young children, toddlers and infants. While food tends toward spicy side, waiters are helpful with suggestions for kids palates.
Mussels were spicy & great. Parilla leaf was pretty cool. 1-2 appetizers, 2 main dishes was good amount for 2. Sides were good by unnecessary. One of my favorite tap lists.
We were obsessed with everything we ate except for the veggies side. That was lame. Pretzel dumpling are fun but the real winner here is the wonton soup. The pork broth is out of this world.
SO GOOD. Spicy mango salad, coconut lobster soup, Singapore chili lobster, short rib w/ watermelon. P.s - our dessert came with Captain Crunch sprinkled on top! FTW
Halo halo tastes like a fruity bowl of captain crunch, and there's no real authentic Filipino flavor. I do recommend the pad Thai and fried chicken! Shrimp toast looked amazing too.
The menu might first seem heavy on meat but talk to the waiter and he'll get you a bunch of veggie options. Hawaiian bread buns and guacamole are the best, pad thai could use less sauce but still good
Wings. Mushroom slider was surprisingly great (new dish). Pad Thai solid. Tom kha solid. Dumplings good but not the sauce. Fried chicken not worth it here.
