There is no better lunch spot in Long Island City. We love the daily soup/sandwich combo along with the mac n cheese of the day. Definitely worth the trip out to LIC.
Cozy spot near court square. Loved the pear salad. The Roberta's homage pizza is good not great.might try the cauliflower pizza next. Service could be improved
Chilequiles is amazing! The salsa verde is awesome. Five cheese Mac is perfectly cooked and creamy, note to self contains goat cheese. The Minnesota pizza is tasty, but slightly sweet.
Boy am I glad this place is down the street. I've been waiting for the perfect time to come and picked a good day. Mac N Cheese and raspberry lemonade are out of this world. Size doesn't matter here.
Another home run where a spot has only 14 chairs the service was good and the food was amazing. Homemade raspberry lemonade is must. They incorporate bacon with everything which is perfect to me
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri visits Sage General Store where a 14-seat joint is offering everything from wood oven pizza to a lunch counter with sides. Find more tips at FN Local. Read more
Finally brought myself to order something other than the rotisserie chicken and got the fried chicken. It was delicious! This place always gets it right.
They have a delicious lunch specil for $9.75 including tax for half sandwich, half soup that's so good. Had the cucumber cold soup with monterrey veggies sandwich & was so full.
When you're hung over, this is the only restaurant that exists in L.I.C. as far as I'm concerned. Vegetarians and sissies beware. (And cute waiters wearing "Bacon: Better Than a Boyfriend" t-shirts.)
I find everything here to be more expensive and not as well executed as at LIC Market just up the street. Overall it's been hyped up food of middling quality.
I ordered 1 order of bruschetta from them 1st time I ordered there and I got the same amount the 2nd time I ordered there for when I placed an order for 2 bruschettas! RUDE, and definitely a RIP OFF!
