The most beautiful beach I ever been. It is surrounded by mountains, that make the place even more special. This beach is probably the most famous in the world, there is a reason for it =)
Amazingly clean and nice place. Its better to come early in the morning, 8 am and it will be spacious and available. In the evening come to one on the cozy restaurants for good drinks, food and mood)
Really enjoyed this long walk. Only positive things to say about this world-renowned beach. My only problem is that I am used to swimming and you can rarely be lucky enough to do this here.
A place to find everything and everyone a mixture of locals and visitors. Be aware of your belongings at all times, if you go to Rio is a must bit dint forget the other beaches like ipanema and leblon
Wake up 1 hour early and go walking on the beach, have a coconut water and do nothing but enjoy the feelings for half an hour.Repeat the steps every morning/evening to try to capture Carioca style :)
By history you can't miss it. Like any other beach here will make you feel like you don't need anything else. Be careful with thieves specially with little kids.
The famous Copacabana Beach saw Olympic beach volleyball medallists Adriana and Shelda practising here. It will host Olympic triathlon and beach volleyball tournaments in 2016.
Beach is crowded, traders come to you every 3 minutes, water is not very clean. Seats and umbrellas are payed. No free changing rooms, toilets are payed. It looks like market not the place to rest.

I am more than a little excited to have become mayor of copacabana beach. I will work with my people to keep it tip top. Try a caipirinha at one of the beach bars.
Eat on the beach restaurants, the prices are the same as everywhere else, the food great, one portion will serve two. Back of Copa, not worth checking out.
In 2006, The Rolling Stones played a free concert at Copacabana for an estimated 1.5 million people (though some say the crowd may have been double that).
It's sad to say but the area is very very overcrowded. It's also quite dangerous due to the thieves. So in my opinion Copacabana has lost its luster and is not the place to see or be seen any longer.
