This is by far the most unorganized & under staffed airport I have ever been to. Immigration is a nightmare, no matter if u r a citizen, resident or visitor!
customs police... Well the Latina female and tsa are so rude... if I'm coming back from vacay don't have a snotty attitude to question me about my trip..Like I can't afford to travel...Tuh! Awful
I've traveled through lots of airports in my life and have to say MIA is one of, if not the, most confusing ones I've ever experienced...may just be American Airlines but they really seem disorganized
Mew bag wrapping service is a rip off at $30! If you use them don't let them wrap the bags too tight, It jams the handles and wheels and then you will be in for a mission to get them to sort it out.
It's kind of a metaphor for the city of Miami as a whole: busy, crowded, exotic people all around, growing too quick in a disorganized manner, more Spanish than English, and has a lot of potential.
The security process here is confusing. there are no signs to let you know. Checkpoint three is for regular checkpoint two for priority checkpoint one is for TSA precheck.
United does not have a club here. US Airways does not have a club here. American has a club here but it is so far on the other side of the world, it might as well not be here.
Avoid the Starbucks kiosks and hit up a Versailles or La Carreta for some amazing coffee [and great Cuban food too]. Get a pastelito while you're at it.
The Counter @ Terminal 34 has a kick ass playlist but weak ass drinks. Still, mad props for playing Two of Us by the Beatles...we are indeed on our way home...
