As nice as the carts are for those that need them, they're extremely dangerous as they go too fast down the concourse. Watch out!
If the person you are picking up is delayed turn around in the "return to terminal" lane and wait in the bend off to the right while listening to good music or playing phone games.
Everyone should take a moment and thank the cubebs for allowing us to use their airport for non Cuban related things.
Esther te WinkelDecember 30, 2018Not the best AirPort I’ve ever been. Foodcourt right after security is just about it. A few tax-free shops, so not many things to kill the time. Staff at the foodcourt and shops seemed bored.

This was the longest walk to passport control and what seems to be the longest line I've ever seen. Green Card holders go to the same line as visitors. If no Global Entry or no citizen - get ready...
Do NOT let Lisa T P anywhere near la Carreta and things black beans. You will regret it for DAYS. She will try to blame it on the dog!
If you use the Skytrain (and you probably will), take the elevators. The escalators are lonnnng - and take a lot longer.

Jonathan LuehrsAugust 23, 2014I think I just saw a tumbleweed roll through Terminal H. There's seriously like 3 food choices here. The longest line is at the vending machine.
Please DONT travel with AA: Most ilogical terminal, domestic check-in on oposite side of actual check point for domestic gates. In almost 5 yrs in the US, AA has never departed on time.

The low numbered D gates (D1 - D11) are really, really far from security. It is an honest 15 minute walk to get here. Allow plenty of time (or run!)
Here's a tip MIA... Get monitors at your gates it's not just tourists that fly into this outdated airport...And what's with the kiosk check in at delta. Get more efficient w/ bag drop process would ya

What used to be 20 minute trip from Miami Beach is now 60 minutes!
Coldest airport ever, including American gate agents!! Bring a sweater and avoid interacting with the American Airlines gate agents if you can.

Bongos Cuban Cafe has great mojitos, and the rum runner is made fresh not from a mix.
Airport experience had improved dramatically over the past few years. Stop by The Counter next to gate D33 to eat a custom built burger.
National Car RentalApril 16, 2012Welcome to the 305. Take a break from the boardroom and head down to South Beach for some sun. It's only a 20 minute drive from the airport.
