Had the prix fix menu and everything was delicious. Highlight - Go for the octopus as a starter! Service was not excellent though.

MW's finest joint in NYC. MW brings magic to seafood but don't count him out when it comes to meat either. he's a genius. get the fusilli, scallops, lobster.. everything!

Touted as one of the best seafood places in NYC. Dishes are uneven, though there are some interesting options to try. Not spectacular - severely overpriced and really not worth it.

The decor reminds me of the interior of a Rolls Royce and it's appropriate because Marea is the Rolls Royce of seafood.

Don't overlook the Ferratini pasta - the most elegant twist on spaghetti alla vongole in NYC. Have a glass of the aged Madeira after dinner or the Marolo Grappa & Chamomile.

Just named Best New Restaurant at the James Beard Awards so reservations may be tight. But, it's worth the fuss to order fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow and eat at the bar.
