- Emma CramerAugust 6, 2014Their taco tortillas seem slightly larger than most --> cleaner and easier taco eating experience!
- Jason DennyFebruary 22, 2015Very good tacos. Downstairs is over-rated and pretentious. Also clean up the candle wax!
- LaDawn Penigar-MitchellAugust 25, 2018When will this place stop pretending it’s a club? Your food is good but overpriced, your dance floor is cramped and your popularity peaked in 2013. Please get rid of your bouncers, beyond dumb
- SkipAugust 14, 2013Fish tacos were delicious! FYI...despite not having a sign posted, outdoor tables are just for table service.
- RazorfishSeptember 20, 2011Great food — perfectly spiced. Corn is to die for… so is the mango/arugula salad! Plus, tasty margaritas!
- Highly recommend carne asada, no beans (they are kinda tasteless), but a corn instead which taste insanely good. Great selfmade sangria btw.!
- Plato Julia with chicken is about 3 pounds of food for $9. Great lunch. Unfortunately, they're a bit slow for takeout lunch.
- Victoria LilySeptember 9, 2013Ok so this place was good. Definitely more hyped up though. The really dimmed lights got to me after a while and it's so overpriced for food that really wasn't out of this world. Services were great.
- You can't really go wrong here, whether you're sitting down or taking out. Their bistec tacos are a great take on a classic dish.
- ClaireJuly 5, 2013Fish tacos and cucumber/lime Popsicle! Very refreshing:) Ask for a sticker, they're free.
- Amanda TerryMay 16, 2011Frozen margaritas are the way to go. I love their grilled string beans and the carne tacos are good too. (via Scoville) Read more
- Charles BApril 27, 2012restaurant is great if you want to deal with the shit show. better off just getting a few tacos (my favorite is the pescado) and a horchata.
- BravoJanuary 28, 2010At the basement of a corner Taio shop lies a seductive laid-back dungeon, where you can lounge and sip on some great margaritas. -Julie Kwon, Launch My Line
- Cut & Sew & MEOctober 11, 2011The diner taqueria is just a front. Go through the secret "Employees Only" door and you'll find a very cool underground dungeon like restaurant. This place isn't as secret as it used to be.
- Virginie HalpinJanuary 3, 2015After all the recommendations, we were looking forward to the food here. Booking was hard to make, waitress was quite rude and the food was okay. Love the ambiance and setting.
- Giovanni D'PalmaJuly 10, 2016Wish I could write about the food but we ended up leaving before ordering. The outside seating was nice until we were in the sun waiting for water or to order; since they weren't that busy we left.
- Tara HuntMay 15, 2012Try the Aguacate Con Queso - Walked through a downpour in sandals for these. Would do it again and again.
- Melissa RogersDecember 29, 2013If it's too busy, you can get the same mouth-watering tacos at Taqueria, around the corner!
- Phoenix 💥💥💥September 26, 2014Get a taco from the stand and skip the over priced restaurant in the hell hole of a basement! Only in New York!!
- Excellent take-out operation. The tacos and platos never disappoint.
- Jason SpearsSeptember 11, 2014Spot next to Apotheke in China Town. Great tequila drinks and ambiance.
- April Kate 🍴August 22, 2015This place is overrated. Get the tacos - lamb shoulder and the market fish. Yes, you need the flan.
- PRO-KedsApril 20, 2011Not the easiest reservation in town so plan ahead. Make sure you get the ceviche and have a yummy tequila filled drink. Mmm Mmm Mmm
- Nikki HodgdonApril 9, 2010Great fish tacos and avocado tacos. Tortas are good. Best tacos I've ever had..until I went to San Francisco. Overpriced for sure but convenient and tasty.
- MischaSeptember 24, 2011Must try the Bistec and Carnitas tacos, it's not really how we eat tacos back in Mexico, but at least they're are doing the best effort
- Good for a quick lunch at the taco stand. Or great for a late night downstairs.
